How much STP is needed to get a 6-hit and 5-hit with a 480 delay weapon on DRG while subbing SAM?
6hit is +11 iirc
What is a good duo setup for Ketea? NIN+BLM or BLM+THF? Atma combo, and so forth. Any help would be wonderful, thank you.
Get a WHM, and you'll be fine with either combo. His spikes would be shitty without one.
What base damage would it take to beat the ODD on Almace using the WoE Weapon?
New Parser that counts Empy WS's? I use kParser, and after testing on a chloris it didn't register V. Smite at all, and my Hi damage was under Abilities.
I remember reading that Bliaud has to be on when the spell finishes casting, and the numbers came out to be if you can cap out cure potency, go with Bliaud, otherwise Aristo is better.
??? Needles is a regular TP move, so if its not getting TP, it wont use it. Try fighting during the day time to add Photosynthesis to its TP repetoire (only available @day). If Miga is down though, you can always stun ??? Needles if youre quick enough.
Regarding Ketea post, you'll want a WHM regardless because the spikes suck balls, has nothing to do with paralyze. Cure4 spam wont cut it. And you'd want to cover all your grellow triggers...Gambling grellow on ??? NM's isnt a big deal since you can refarm pop set easily or even deaggro the NM if possible to change its weakness, but wasting a VNM3 pop because grellow!! weakness is blu/brd is a huge kick in the scrots. You cant deaggro it (despawns immediately), and refarming VNM3 KI can take an hour, if not more.
480 delay is 13tp/hit. /sam is 15, 11 from gear is 26. 13 * 1.26 is 16.3/hit. 5 hits of that is 81.5 tp, so your WS needs to generate 18.5 tp. If you're willing to assume at least 2 out of 3 extra drakesbane hits land, you need to WS in +9 stp from gear. If all 3 hits land, you don't need any STP on WS. If you assume 2 ticks of regain from VV in abyssea, you need even less on TP phase.
However, with all the STP option these days, 5-hits are very easy to get. I'm no DRG, but something like
weapon/rose/ /White
emp+2/anything/anything/brutal
emp+2/timarli/hoard/rajas
anything/goading/ace's/emp+2
puts you at 51 stp total with at least 24% haste, 4 hits with a 480 delay is 78.4, +4 from VV is 82.4, meaning 17.6 is needed on WS. Assuming you WS in rajas/brutal/rose, you need 2+ extra hits to land. Keep on w.tath and you only need to land 1. Outside of abyssea you have to make up for the lack of VV with a little extra STP, adding tactical mantle puts you at 81.6 after 4 hits (requires 2 extra to land on WS), tactical+almah puts you at 82.4 (2 extra hits without wtath, 1 with). There's tons of different ways to go about it depending on how much you're willing to flub the calculations, plus this isn't even counting the TP bonus from jumps.
This is not necessarily true. I have 49% cure potency without the body, and using Bliaud +1 ends up behind the set I would use for Curagas or when Solace is down (50% CP). Doing the math using the +2 body, it was only superior for Cure V and not Cure VI. This is all inside Abyssea.
Also, Facio Bliaut offers -4~6 enmity with up to 14% CP.
Using a curepot body lets you swap gear around elsewhere. Of course, if you end up overcuring then cureskin is more valuable... and if the cureskin doesn't do anything then Orison Bliaud is near-worthless.
Here's some numbers from my cure sets. Note that I'm using Allure (intending to replace with Savior) here with full cruor buffs + all abyssites.
spell = cure amount + cureskin amount = total
"No Solace" set
C5 = 1155 + 288 = 1443
C6 = 1576 + 300 (394) = 1876
"+1 Solace" Set
C5 = 1135 + 340 = 1475
C6 = 1527 + 350 (458) = 1877
"+2 Solace" Set
C5 = 1135 + 397 = 1532
C6 = 1527 + 400 (534) = 1927
I did find a few mistakes in my original math, so C5 and C6 are both better with the "+2 solace" set.
I'm curious, are those tested values or do you happen to know a working formula for C6?
In abyssea you should generally be over curing anyways. I try to keep cure-skin active on a lot of NMs if my MP allows.
Assuming Verethragna and Revenant Fists +2 continue to get upgraded beyond Lv. 90 - how much base damage would Revenant Fists need to gain to overtake a level 85 or 90 Verethragna?
