Have any of the people whose accounts were closed this billing cycle been able to update their payment info? Somehow one of my three accounts (My main, naturally) was closed after I changed my credit card's billing address, and I consistently get UCS-60257 after the SecureCode verification step succeeds. Customer service has been useless, with a suggestion that I might have more success in the middle of next week when the servers are no longer being hammered.

THF/NIN + BLM/WHM for duo. what atmas would be good to resist the paralyze?

The permaspikes and spells he casts mean enough damage that BLM healer is going to be a real headache. I'd just go all-out offense on THF, refresh atmas on BLM, and try to get it finished within 20 minutes.

Actually, I'd probably just go NIN+WHM on Lightsday and pray for light procs.

Where to XP BLM at level 37?

I just realized I might need to play my RDM in this shell and just getting to 80 tonight to realize it's time to level it again /sadface

WHM is 44 and is easy to level, use club and beat things heh.

Also where to level in the low/mid 40's for war and dnc? qufim island is now too low altogether and I could go to kazaam but I want to know if there is a better place I'm overlooking.

I got my account running again, but i had to switch CC. For some reason i couldnt get the original card verified by visa anymore.

Abyssea? Leech off a LS member that's farming something, or buy a leech spot from a shout group. I don't know why you'd willingly subject yourself to the hell that is pickup parties any more than you absolutely have to.

slippery sucker, leech in qufim. I'm camping it for my GSWD trials, is it just a timed spawn? wiki doesn't mention and there's no leeches out here that could be placeholders.

No, Migawari doesn't negate KO moves

Migawari only negates DAMAGE that would kill you. Tyrant Tusk doesn't kill you through damage (mostly), it just inflicts KO. Atma of the Einherjar is your best bet.

You could see if anyone else wants to check out Moblin Maze Mongers if you're not willing/able/interested in just leeching in Abyssea. I hear the xp there is pretty decent at mid levels, especially now. BLM solo guide on wiki might help also.

In the event I'm not forced to change my name for the upcoming server merger, but I still want to... what was the process?

Is there a lockout period where you won't be able to play, aside from the time it takes you to follow the above process? How quickly can I snag my old name after freeing it up?

I can't guarantee it because I haven't done it recently. In the past I used mules to repeatedly quest Utsu Ichi. I would get them all done, post out anything I wanted from Norg and then delete. The char name was available immediately. I managed to create a character on Shiva with my name. My thought is to delete that just before I login to eld.

If you wanted to change, wait until character creation is up, create a mule with your current name and then login to Fran. I think you'll be forced to change.

If the merge has already happened by then; no, he won't. They don't wait with moving your character 'til you log onto it.

As I said earlier, you need to have the mule created before the server merge takes place.

Yeah it's timed. Not sure what the timer is though as I killed before sleeping, then in the middle of the night when I woke up and then again when I woke up in the morning. I'd say about 1hrs 30 - 2 hrs at a guess though.

Any had much experience with droprates for empy items with /thf? Trying to decide if its worthwhile levelling a THF alt or if WHM/THF would be sufficient.

1) I used Vermeli until I got Widowmaker, but it didn't take me long to obtain one either. I've heard Warlord's is acceptable until Widowmaker.

2) I typically use VV/RR/AoA. If you're asking for cleaving only atma setup, someone else will have to chime in but I've been told VV/GC/RR is fine.

Soloing on BST, so I have to pick & choose between item/time in certain zones (i.e. Temenos - North), or choose which bosses to kill in others (i.e. Apollyon - NW).

BG Wiki doesn't specify. Otherwiki lists by floor, but I noticed a different listing on the Limbus tab of FFXI Calc. Specifically, wiki says NIN can drop on all but the 3rd floor of Temenos North, while the FFXI Calc list only includes NIN on floors 1, 5, 6, 7. For Apollyon NW, wiki includes NIN on 4th floor (wyverns), but the FFXI Calc list does not.

Just trying to figure out which bosses to skip / which floors to choose time over item.

I recently solo'd my NIN chainmail +1 and imo found that Apollyon SW and Temenos N are the best ways to get this done.

For Apollyon, definitely do SW. The third floor with the mimics has an absurdly high drop rate on NIN for some reason. I actually ended up getting 2 Ebony Lacquers from the box on the first try. The only thing remotely difficult is getting clean pulls on the first floor, but even if you get links it should be no problem at 90.

For Temenos, N gives you 2 shots at NIN on the first and second floor. According to ffxiclopedia, NIN can also drop on the second to last floor and in the win box, but I never bothered trying to get down that far solo. I would kill the 2 WAR gobs on floor 1, pop box, then go down to floor 2 and kill the 4 gigas and then warp. I ended up getting Plaited Cord on my second try from the 2nd floor box.

This was done NIN/DNC, but BST should have no problem. BST should actually help on the gigas floor since you won't get charmed.
