For ele brewing, specifically Cataclysm, Aeolian, Flash Nova is the best combo always Smiting + Ultimate (or PW atma) + (Elemental Damage + Major) (for that element)?

My char always freezes when I have stuff happening to me: like stuff being casted on me and etc.

Anyways to fix this?

I believe these should be best. PW/Ultimate is kinda shitty and only gives at most (950/900)=1.055, so 5.5% damage increase due to the 900 MAB during brew. Even a elemental damage minor atma is better.

Cataclysm - Smiting, Cosmos, Griffon
Aeolian - Smiting, Gales, Ultimate
Flash - Sellsword, Beyond, Holy Mountain

-edit- removed smiting from flash nova because I originally didn't realize it had a static ftp mod. Mojo's next post is correct, sellsword should be better.

For Cataclysm, the best combo is Smiting Blow + Cosmos + Griffon's Claw.
Aeolian Edge is Smiting Blow + Gales + Ultimate
Flash Nova is Beyond + Holy Mountain + Sellsword

I don't know exact numbers on Holy Mountain and Sellsword, but assuming assuming the worst for Sellsword marginal gains, just say it's +40 and +10. The marginal gains for Sellsword would then be

0.1/1.7 = 5.88%

With +0 MAB (the best marginal gains for Ultimate), it's

50/1000 = 5.00%

So Sellsword wins either way.

It goes to just the puller, same goes for abyssites from Pavan, Bhumi, and the Ephemerals in Visions zones, however the droprate is insanely high. You'll more than likely go 1/1.

For the DNC AF3 +1/+2, does the 25%/50% Striking Flourish Crit require the body to be equipped during the Striking Flourish, or during the attack?

I'm assuming during the attack similar to most things, but just checking.

Apoc and GH or A&O at a guess, DA/TA/critrate/critdmg are the only stats worth stacking at that point and you're already at 40% critdmg with RR and AF3 legs.

are you using spellcast? is it one of the older versions? happened a lot on v2; but the newer versions have been much better (don't forget to update xml's).

Will NIN + WHM work on Amarok? NIN is well equipped (full haste, good weapons - sans Emp/Relic)

I can use MNK/WAR and kill fast for sure, but I actually want a chance at red!! since the triggers are not exactly cheap. I can farm them (and I did farm them for selling), but if NIN can kill with within a reasonable timeframe and a good chance at red, I'd rather come NIN + WHM than MNK + WHM.
