Why do I randomly get 600 EXP or 500+ cruor from regular EP mobs in Abyssea? Was killing a few funguars for Amber when one suddenly gave me 600 XP. Other times I killed a random Imp or Wivre and got like 580 cruor. Explanations?

Switching between mob families will cause a spike in cruor. I haven't tested it for myself yet - but I think if you alternate between mobs each kill, cruor will stay in the 500 range...

Can't really say much about the 600 xp if it's a sudden huge jump... maybe it has something to do with Golden Lights - but I don't know for sure.

Switching families every kill will net you a small increase with each subsequent switch. But after killing hundreds of buffalo then killing one Imp i got 500 in one shit. As for the XP I had no gold lights I was solo farming gold chests and only had amber/pearl/azure lights. And was mostly killing Sapplings/VNM then killed a few shrooms and the second or third one gave me 600 xp when the previous ones gave me 32-40.

I'm currently working on my NIN TP setup:

oirandori/kamome/ bomblet
Iga +2/Iga/Suppa/Brutal
AF/Dusk +1/Eponas/Brutal
Iga/twilight/Iga+2/Usu

I'm somewhat familiar with 2H weapon STP and what to aim for, but what should I be aiming for with NIN? With my current build, FFXI calc has me @ a 20 hit build with no WS TP.

So my question is should I even bother with usu feet + iga back? or should I just atheling mantle and Iga +2 feet for tp? or Atheling + Usu feet?

Use Usu feet + Atheling. x-hits on DW jobs are a joke, even if you're not over-TPing you've got such a high hits/round value that it's not a useful expression of improvements to your WS frequency, not to mention the impact of variable TP return on WS. Average rounds/WS does have value though, and along with the other benefits each piece has both Atheling and Iga back would contribute to that statistic (DA on Atheling, STP on Iga).

Plaguebringer, Sun Eater, Persistant predator, /sam and 13 in gear is a 4hit with 1 ws hit landing (raiden for 100% acc?)

THF + WHM Duo Chione, and her lower percentage she seems to go rapeface happy with spells.
Which 3 atmas are best for THF and 2 good ones for WHM? WHM's a mule and still needs a few wins for 3rd Atma.

Minnikin for the WHM. Then add in one of the following: Rescuer/Allure/Harmony/the one from ASA or Windy. I'd actually recommend Harmony as its questable which saves you the bother of getting a dyna xarc win etc. Otherwise Allure isn't bad, especially if your gear is pretty basic.

Atheling/(Cuch > Anguinus > Warwolf)/Tumbler/(Lithe if dDEX needed/high attack situations, if not Rager is an option).

I augmented ACP body but it's probably not much better than AJ tbh, don't think I missed any pieces.

what about lightning bow? i wonder if losing 2 attack from sting in TP phase would outdo 1 more dex in WS.

and yes, you missed head, neck and earrings completely but i guess; moogle add-on cap (str/ws acc/dex/crit dmg) / gorget / dex / dex ? maybe aesir for one of the earrings?

also the bonus from shamshirs > higher ws frequency you get from joytoy ? it is a bit hard to believe

So on the otherwiki Raider's Armlets +1 page, someone's claiming there is a hidden effect of increasing the rate of TH +1 procs during SA/TA, but have a limited sample size. Has anyone tested this out more?

Anyone with a Moonshade Earring pick the augment with Occ. grants dmg. bonus based on TP +5%? Would like to hear some feedback on how it's like when it actually procs.

Also would like to know which augment on the Moonshade Earring would be best suited for a THF with Twashtar?

Head: Emp+2 > Varangian > Twilight > Emp+1
Body: Zahak's > Perle > Twilight

Askar is decent for TP if you need it for STP. Emp+2 or Aurum are obviously better, but Askar beats out emp+1 as long as you don't need the acc.

copy .dat
find Aoidos Calot .dat for Mithra
paste Marduk .dat over Aoidos .dat

Copy ROM/253/19.DAT, paste in ROM/176/
Rename 17.DAT in ROM/176/ to 17.OLD
Rename 19 (2).DAT to 17.DAT

If you need to restore it later, delete ROM/176/17.DAT and rename 17.OLD to 17.DAT
