- If a THF places treasure hunter on an enemy and dies, does the TH effect wear off? Seems illogical it would - but in my experiences with Chloris (small sample size) - we only got one bud if the THF died and didn't attack Chloris again.

- Since treasure hunter now seems to work like Dancer steps, can the effect wear off with time? (Seems unlikely.)

Unless they changed things when they added the whole TH enhancing function TH should remain regardless of what happens to the THF, would be simple to test though. Just have a THF with TH gear hit a mob, get a proc, die (maybe kick them afterward to confirm 1 more thing while you're at it), invite a new THF to the pt with no TH gear, get another proc, observe.

As for the duration, much like the previous statement, unless they changed something TH should remain until the mob goes idle (not just unclaimed) similar to how rage resets. You could test this as well I suppose but unless it was given a duration and it was shockingly short it would be a pretty big waste of time.

Example, thf gets proc up to 9, then dies, then reraises, and gets another proc, their testing shows that it starts from the beginning again. so to retain 'enhanced levels of treasure hunter', the thf must not zone or die.

What this may mean for the BASE levels of treasure hunter, without the enhanced procs, is anyone's guess - we can't prove it one way or another.

I see Eremes post on the Talk Page of Wiki's TH entry where they said TH reset on Turul after they died. I had the opposite experience on Yaanei though. I increased TH to 7, died, and then raised TH to 8 (on the first TH proc) once I got up again. This was several months ago though... I'll go dig through my logs to see if my memory is failing me.

Is the damage done by aeolian edge based on weapon dmg value? If yes, how much weapon damage is needed to beat martial knife (dmg 27 +100 tp)?

If no, why the heck isn't this thing going for 1mil on all servers instead of 20k on some 1mil on others

Magical weapon skills do not take weapon damage into account, hence why everyone does Cataclysm burn using Pluto's Staff. So yes Martial knife will give you 25% or so extra damage on Aeolian Edge.

This sounds suspicious, I'm pretty sure early testing proved it didn't matter if you died. Unless you're talking about dying and fully deaggroing, as in no one else that has hate after you die so the mob goes idle.

TH6 > proc to 7 > die, reset > don't wear TH gear > get proc?

A friend of mine just quit and gave me his Lu Shangs.
Is fishing worth leveling these days? Checking FFXIAH only a couple fish seem to sell fast enough to be worth it, but I figure I could be missing something.

NPCing can be decent gil.

Regarding the TH discussion, perhaps TH only resets if you're the primary target when you die?

DNC - Haste Samba and Reverse Flourish 5/5, G2 is more flexible based on your needs. 5/5 Saber Dance is pretty nice, wouldn't go past 2/5 NFR personally, and I'd strongly recommend unlocking Fan Dance, but it's entirely up to you.

I was thinking of an idea, wondering if anyone has tried it or if it would be worth it.
Would it be possible, while farming feet in Scars zones to just get 5(?) amber light and cap pearl, then just cleave something with a WS on a mob that cant produce that WS light and see more Gold boxes? Running low on time, just zone out/in get ~5 amber cap pearl and repeat? You'll see less blue boxes and more gold this way, or is the frequency not noticable enough, so just cap azure and see more blue than gold? I bring this up because while this method will actually waste stones, perhaps the frequency of gold chests would be much higher than blue so you get more chances per chest drop.
