Haven't had to do it for a very long time but iirc:

Open C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI\USER\ and find the character folder relevant to the macros you want to transfer. I did this by checking the mcr.ttl file in each folder in notepad. This will display the macro book names for that character (ie: when i see 'brd', 'thf', 'nin' in a mcr.ttl i know that folder is relevant to my alt character). Then you need to find out which folder is the desired destination and copy/paste the contents over.

Never been able to make sense of the hex folder names directly ;\

Yeah I did that, I think it's something to do with steam on this computer. I was able to save my macros to the server, log in on another computer and copy them to the mule account. Then save the mule account to the server. Still haven't figured out how to do it on my main computer.

Tryin' to break latent on Pole of Trials. Went to Pashhow (S) and fought Snippers. Did 44 Fusion SCs with a buddy before he had to leave. Continued to solo WS since I was out of Traverser Stones. Anyway, logs say I've done like 280 solo WSes, but latent isn't gone. Gettin' a little frustrated. Any ideas?

I'm like 99% sure that light gorgets wont work because gorgets only work for lower tiers of Sc properities on those WS ( its at least what I was thinking for years )

You need to do 300 WS points on Trial weapons, assuming that's what you mean by 280 solo WS.

I recall someone mentioning that Ukko's fury worked with Light gorget (They were talking to Massimo). However, they maintained that it did not work with Relic weaponskills.

Looking for a little advice/clarification on hunting down some Tiger King Hides.

Droprate on the NM is shit even with TH, so I've been trying to farm it out of gold boxes. My problem seems to be this: I have three Destiny abyssite for enhanced Gold boxes that more or less start me right in range to get Hides from a box. I have more Kismet, though, so my skew is naturally towards blue and away from Gold.

If I farm Amber lights, I push myself towards KIs from boxes very easily (as in, more than two and I'm not really seeing anything except them.) but if I don't bother at all I'm at the mercy of a slanted blue:gold ratio.

Anyone got any ideas how to have a bit more luck? Took me something like four hours tonight to finally end with two hides and I'm tired and strapped for clues. Am I just really unlucky today? Should one amber light push me closer to Pop items but not clear into Key Items? Am I imagining things where Hides no longer show up once you've gotten the Max Amber? Is this one too many questions to end on?

Any help is appreciated, I'm not looking forward to having to do this fortyish more times.

You're simply screwed unless dominion boosts go away. AOE burn (Not using amber kills obviously) and hope for gold boxes with the hide.

Light abyssites seem to have the effect where they 'spike' you higher at random times. I.e. get a time chest when you're normally on 400 cruor. So I'd say aim for where you would normally get tier 1 pop item gold boxes, and just cope with the random spiked big gold key item.

I tested it myself, and while I did not do more than 5 weaponskills with each, the damage with Light Belt was the same as the one with Breeze Belt (both higher than no belt at all).

How good of a tank could be a PUP/MNK with RR/GH/Roaring Laughter using counterstance? Of course the easy stuff like seal NMs can already be tanked as PUP/NIN with minimal effort, but how about harder hitting mobs?

And related to that, does anyone know how much counter+ gives GH and/or RL?

When i did it, i got like 3-5 amber lights and was doing fine, no more than that though. . .and remember, a lot of it is luck, so you should try to kill tiger when its up for extra chance @ hide.
