I didn't SS it and wasn't running logger yet (June 13, 2008) but Mijin'd a colibri, slept it, cor'd the 2hour back and mijin'd again (with arm equipped) from same hp. Did 600 first time, 660 second. Not an exhaustive test by any means, but was enough to us that it didn't give RR/reduce 2hour timer.

I didn't have nin yet so I never got an arm - I doubt if anyone kept it, but I'll ask around if you can think of a better test.

It's the same. Mobs like Roc and Simurgh with auto-capped acc will still miss 5% of the time. Likewise, the 20% floor to accuracy is in place for them as well, which is why you'll occasionally find tiny mandragoras landing hits on 90 Thieves and such.

I was under the impression that Mijin had a somewhat variable damage even from the same HP. Is this true?

Makes me wonder if MAB affects mijin. Since Innin does iirc, and Innin just gives MAB, I wonder what mijin would be like under brew especially with all that hp...

I've been wondering about TH, because I was having a bitch of a time proccing TH on Jailer of Temperance. I suspect that TH acts as an en-effect with a set chance to proc (like En-TH). Jailer of Temperance seems to be immune to it, and I think I'm going to have to bring a WAR to Tomahawk the bitch if I want to TH him.

I was doing sky the other day for a friend who recently lvled a job that can use crimson cuisses, he wanted me to TH Suzaku for seals, did 3 of them and we only had 4 ppl (WHM, MNK, THF and SCH) 1st fight took roughly 8mins, after it Chainspelled and it was all under control the MNK turned, and the SCH stoped nuking. Suzaku was roughly at 35sh% HP So I main wielded TK and no 2nd knife, I meleed it down with Sneak/Trick attack when timers were up in hopes of a TH proc, never got one and eventually killed it by poking it with a Thief's knife. 2nd fight I got a proc within the 1st round of attacks (wasn't even a critial or Sneak/Trick attack induced) 3rd Fight I wasn't able to proc it again, but we didn't hold it, seals drop seemed random x1>x2>x2. I've noticed that the addional effect in the log procs more often inside Abyssea than outside, but that's just on personal experience.

Mijin has always been a little unreliable damage wise though. I have, on many occasions, did a 600 damage mijin with 2000 hp. and on other occasions i would do 1600.
I do think it is a damage increase of some sort mind you. +10% is something i'm willing to live with.

that being said, testing a 2hr like this is hard to do. as... its a 2hr. takes a while inbetween tests.
my idea is we gather up a bunch of ninjas with reacton arms and see if any of them do damage higher than their own HP - or possibly, tests with mijins with and without reacton arm to test consistency.

I believe if you were dual wielding two weapons that had the same weather requirement but required different mobs, completing an objective for the offhand trial would count for both? But that's me pulling together something really shady with my memory..I couldn't tell you for certain, and I have no clue if it still works.

So you mean a static chance (+TH enhancement) is more likely when you have more opportunities for it occuring (+15% triple attack)? Never imagined that would happen!

I thought it had to be the same mob, but different trials? I.E. Katanas; the STR path and the OAT weapon path both have birds, you could dual wield and kill birds on firesday to get credit for both.

You can get credit for two weapons at a time, as long as you meet the conditions for both weapons. In your example, as long as both weapons need "bird" kills, you would get credit on both trials for each bird kill, if on fireday, etc.
