Need help with Adobe Reader document

Never posted around here, but I'm having a hell of a time figuring this one out. I've got a form (.pdf) that was emailed to me from work, and it needs to be filled out and returned to them via a submit via email button on the document itself to package and send the information in it as it's own file.

Problem is, any time I hit the submit button I get the error "This operation is not permitted". Now, I've been scouring the internet for the last 8 hours and I can't seem to find any concrete solutions on this one. I've found plenty of tech threads with people complaining about similar issues, but no one with any solutions. So here's my question, does anyone around here know of a way to make this work properly? Or perhaps a viable workaround?

I'm getting ready to start pulling my hair out over this, or just cave in, screenshot it a couple times and send my bosses a couple of .jpg attachments of a .pdf file. So.. halp BG, I can't figure this one out.

Fill in your answers, use CutePDF to print the filled out document to a second PDF, and send that one, maybe?

    Fool around Security (Enhanced)
This is assuming you're on Adobe Reader 9.0.4

Might be able to somehow stash the file in a directory marked as safe and tell Adobe to ignore and/or trust it.

It's also possible that you need Adobe Acrobat (the none free thing) to perform this operation, or magically the function got locked down somehow when the form was compiled.

If it is not too sensitive, feel free to attach it here for me to look at. I can get back to you within 24 hours if it's not too late. I'm leaving for home imminently unless you can upload it fast.

EDIT: In response to Rockstaru, I believe the form in question actually sends data to a specific location for processing, rather than saving the PDF as it is after modification and then attaching and sending it back. We have a smiliar system here where it's all rigged an external server somewhere which houses a database and such.

Nope, not sensitive at all. Just a form for something I do on the weekends and in my downtime for extra money. Have a field day with it, any help or solutions are appreciated.

I might go the CutePDF route if no solutions can be found. I don't think it matters what format they get it back in, but I might be wrong.

    Got it.

    Just tested.

Does not work in Adobe Reader 9.0.4 (and probably any Reader in this case)

As suspected, works fine in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7. Upon clicking E-mail form, it attempts to launch Desktop (i.e. Outlook), Online (i.e. Yahoo, Hotmail) or Other (specify). It tries to e-mail the form to [email protected], but it says it won't actually e-mail the form, but only the data entered into the fields/boxes. NOTE: I did not go further than this because otherwise it'll probably be a bit spammage to try and e-mail a blank form, but the results are very clear.

Hope this helps! (and hope you won't have trouble getting hold of Acrobat 7 or later)

Thank you sir. I don't think I should, the wife's PC has it on it for work purposes iirc.

I'm unable to try CutePDF but do give it a try if it's not a hassle, it's possible those kind of applications a slightly more powerful than Adobe's basic reader but not as advanced as the full thing.

Either way, it will try to output the form into a data file, not the form itself, to be sent as an attachment to MarketStar.
