I haven't done a single raid in Cata, so here's recount for the world first Heroic Sinestra.

They brought two healing priests and two shadow priests, so either spec is viable in PVE.

However, shadow is trash in PVP now with the nerfs to the spec and the nerfs to the classes they have synergy with. Top priests on ArenaJunkies are saying shadow can't kill anything without bloodlust/heroism(which just got restricted from arena). Blizzard recently fixed Sin and Punishment, then broke it again this patch, so we have no dispel protection for our dots.

Disc is amazing with increased throughput, efficiency, snare immunity when you can Power Word Shield on yourself, and silence/interrupt immunity every time Inner Focus is up. The nerf to shaman purge makes us the only class in the game with an offensive double dispel and we're still the only healer with a defensive double dispel. Mana burn is ridiculously strong if you can land it. I played a couple games as hpal/dk vs disc/dk and the disc priest would spam mind spike on me all game because he was able to keep his partner up so easily, and the added pressure caused my paladin to go OOM while the priest was still at 60%~ mana.

Don't worry, last time disc was any good it got hotfixed within the week to a state worse than they were before.

it' ture, but considering it basically shares gear with holy/sp then it's just gold loss to respec. I'll give it a shot when I got some time tomorrow.
