Maybe if you wouldnt have a trial open for a Masamune that is going to take you three years to complete then you wouldn't have this issue. With all of the new inventory from the mog sack and the potential space saved from utilizing porter moogles you could easily hold on to gems until you're ready to make a serious run at it.
You're one of the people that have to open a trial the moment they are given the option despite not being able to finish it right away and are stuck with the trail open cause they foolishly dropped items/seals/did half the thing then lost interest in it and went about their business to do something else aren't you?

I'm not sure whats sad, the fact that you had access to start Masamune a lot longer then I have had and I'm taking my time with my 2nd empyrean, while supporting my ls members choices to pick up weapons and help them along, sure I'm doing it a little ass backwards by doing sobeks first, but that's mainly because I've been selling stones / cards / kamome / gimp drg pole arm to people on the server lately like hot cakes, and figured fuck it, 20 more to go might as well push the last 10-20 sobeks down and save me the stress of camping that whore Peist.

You really do give me the image of all the gimps in my social LS that talk about how they're going to make an empyrean weapon and then they are proud to have 10 items in the box, and realize that the trials are to time consuming and they want to give up but they don't want to lose all that they worked for so they keep the trails open.

Weather weapons (PDT/MDT/STR and so forth) pose a good reason to have multiple trials up. You wouldn't want to have to run to Ru lude to activate trials if you're only able to kill during a specific day or time (Weather).

Oh, I didn't even SEE that last sentence.

Mog sack hardly helped with inventory space, thank you SE for releasing a shitton of gear that only one job can equip, and all of these stupid seals and +2 items that we have to keep holding on to. Also, try having 10+ jobs fully geared, and 5+ of them perfectly geared with all possible situational gears.

Having 30+ Lv80 and 85 Emp items sitting in my storage because they don't stack and because my trial limit is cockblocking me from doing Tahrongi and La Theine Emps at the same time doesn't help, either.

edit: VNM items stacking would also be nice. I have like 7 krabkatoa shells sitting in my storage. Would have liked to have started on a multihit club for my melee whm set, but I can't start any more trials! I've also been wanting to do an Evasion dagger, maybe also a katana, but no trial space. Have been wanting to do a STP polearm, but no space. qq

The mythical "typical player" does not need more than five trial slots. You can certainly make a compelling argument for how you might need so many slots if you played 24 hours a day and were trying to maintain gear for 10 jobs. I get it.

But I have never understood why people don't grasp that SE never has, and never will, cater to people who ask for things like more trial slots or "fixing" drop rates on NMs that only a handful of people farm enough to care about.

As it stands right now, it's basically impossible to xp practically on a job below 70 without leeching. While I'm sympathetic that you can't have 5+ "perfectly geared" jobs, I'm glad that SE is addressing issues that affect broader segments of the player base. Perhaps what we need here is a little perspective.

Say that again when you're trying to upgrade multiple salvage armors, but can only do 3 or 4 at once.

As they add more to the Magian system, it's getting worse, and it's something that they need to address.

edit: I also barely play over 20 hours a week anymore, I'd probably consider myself casual at this point. Doesn't mean I can't be ambitious, though. Also, I'm not complaining about what they're doing. I'm incredibly happy for all of these changes, just annoyed that these certain few things are being overlooked, and that my voice isn't being heard at all.

I do, however, believe this is a bigger issue than some of the bullshit they're choosing responding to. Fuck Bonanza, random qqpup question, goblin stir-fry, etc.

I realize this, which is exactly why I said what I said. Until they answer one of my incredibly specific questions (which are much more unlikely to recur than the questions they've been answering), I'm going to assume they aren't pulling from the EN feed at all and that all the questions from the EN feed that have been "answered" were also asked on the JP feed.

Maybe you should ask "Do you guys bother pulling question from the NA or EU Feed to answer or just take it all from the JP Feed?"

I mean, if you can complain about it here, Might as well ask them directly!

    I don't own a Twitter account... Or i would for you :D

It has already been asked, though not by me.

Regardless, that's not the kind of question that gets an honest answer. I'm sure the two guys that make up the English-speaking community team do an admirable job reading, filtering, and screening our questions (to the extent that a non-player can). When the Dev team is looking for questions though, it's easier to just hop on twitter, read something in a language they speak, and answer the most frequent questions. Then they assume the NA base is having essentially the same problems/questions. It's not an incorrect assumption in general, but it means that they end up answering questions about and promising patches for game mechanics that frankly don't need to change or just serve to make the game easier instead of addressing harder mechanics issues.

Like, seal storage really? Stop trying to get AF3+1 for level 50 jobs.

Minor glitches like Ule and Grauberg stuff? I wouldn't even publicize that. I'd just fix it in the next patch.

Can't start my GA trials at all because I'm planning on doing GA+H2H at the same time as soon as I 85 my gun and katana which will be soon.
Can't do more than 1 staff trial at the same time, can't do any fucking other trials at all.

    So suck my dick
Here's a thought. Why not finish your Carabosse Gems before collecting Helms? You can finish either in a few hours of work.

I play solo, so no, it takes a few days work, which for me is probably a few weeks. Doing both at the same time is faster than doing one at the same time. Sure, it seems slower, but I finish faster.

You quoted me and said all this stuff but yet none of this even applies to me... Were you meaning to quote Malacite? I'm not even doing a Masamune, though I am doing a Caladbolg as my second empyrean which also uses gems. I have 2 trials open currently (Caladbolg 34/50 gems and cure staff on eles) and I think the most I've ever had open at once was 4 and that only lasted 2 days, simply because the weather/day stipulation... but that isn't that big of a deal either.

Yes, I do have empyrean items for other weapons in my inventory that I got incidentally and don't want to pitch but that doesn't mean I need to open a trial to store my 4 Briareus Helms or my 6 Kukulkan Fangs if I'm not serious about finishing those weapons in the near future.

I've done nearly all of my Carabosse Gems solo as well... How the fuck is doing Briareus + Carabosse at the same time faster than doing one at a time???

Edit: Even if you wanted to do both at the same time, why have an open ice staff trial? Not one of those ice staff trials takes more than a few hours to complete. If you're tight on trial space, finish your current ice staff trial and don't start the next one until you're ready to finish it. If you're doing two empyreans at once you don't have to have an ice staff trial open... do you have ADD or something?

Regardless to whether you feel you need more trial slots a lot players do want more. The majority of players I know including myself tend to function with 4/5 trials active and 1 inactive for turning in armor. So ya we do usually get by with 5 but what's the harm in having more active trials? Is it really any skin off your ass if people would find it convenient to have more active trial slots? It's like saying, "what a bunch of idiots! I get by fine with my 3 mules for storage, why do we need a mog sac? Why do you need more macros? Why do you need to have Visions and Scars Emp items stackable?" It's an absolutely ridiculous thing to bitch about people asking for something that doesn't harm game balance in any way. If SE can't do it due to PS2 limitations or some BS then fair enough but it's not like we're taking a shit in your cereal by asking for more trial slots.

It's akin to saying you should only ever level one job at a time til you hit 90 some people just don't like playing in that style. Also as someone said before the amount of trials are likely to increase because they're planning to add stuff like merit trials.

Stuff like more overall storage and better macros are things that the game could indeed use. My point was why not request things like that instead of asking for more trials because you have ADD and don't want to finish one before moving on to the next or asking for empyrean items to stack (more or less for the same reason).

In my opinion, SE made those items non-stackable to prevent players from lotting things they weren't serious about upgrading and in the process cockblocking other players.
