Upon first look, Haynesworth to the Pats looks horribad. But then, when you look at it more, it looks better. First, the Pats run a 4-3 about as much (if not more) than 3-4, so put Haynesworth in the 4-3 packages and he should be happy. Next, Haynesworth did not want to play NT in Washington, a problem he won't have in NE due to Wilfork. Even if he was asked to play NT, it is because Belichick has this thing for putting Wilfork at DT at times. Also, the Pats paid nothing for him (a 5th round pick in 2013 for a team that hoards picks is nothing), so if he decides to be a douche, then they cut him.

This really is a no risk move. If he works out and is the player he was with the Titans, then our D-Line got a lot better. If not, he gets cut and the young players on the Pats defense see another reason to stay in line.

12 or 13 million a year, no thanks. I'll take Jonathan Joseph. You're spending 12 million for someone to cover Davone Bess, Ben Tate, and whoever the fuck Buffalo considers their #2. It's complete overkill at the cost of an immense amount of cap space when you can get a corner that is perfectly capable of handling those duties for much cheaper. Hell, I'd probably keep Cro if I could get him on the cheap, he was a hell of a fucking corner last year.

Joseph is going to want 10m a year or so. Top CB money. He's only played one full NFL season because of injuries.

That said, Bengals need to re sign him since they missed out on dwill, gallery, etc

Sources: Saints, Dolphins agree to Bush deal
A surprising trade has popped up in this hectic NFL week. FOXSports.com has learned that the Saints and Dolphins have agreed to terms of a trade that would send former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush to Miami. The deal is still contingent upon Bush’s agent Joel Segal working out a new contract with the Dolphins.
Bush is also still deciding whether he wants to take the deal. It is unclear what the Saints are receiving in return.
New Orleans had no intention of keeping Bush this season under the terms of his current contract — an $11.8 million base salary and a cap figure of $16 million.
If the trade goes through, the Saints part ways with coach Sean Payton’s first draft pick, an injury-plagued player who put up only 2,090 rushing yards since entering the league in 2006. Bush distinguished himself, however, as one of the NFL’s best receiving threats at running backs in the past five seasons, catching 294 passes for 2,174 yards and 12 touchdowns.
His 7.3-yards-per-catch average in that span ranks first among running backs, while his 12 touchdown receptions rank second among running backs. — Jay Glazer

I heard the real plan is to get edward norton to play mlb behind him.

I don't think he should get paid like a top WR. He's a great deep threat but I think Maclin is a much more complete receiver.

He's top 10. While he may not have the numbers, he is their #1. Defenses PLAN and fear him. When you're forced to keep your safeties 20yds off LOS to account for him that's saying a lot.
