jets are kinda backed into a corner right now. they made all that cap space for nnamdi, and now if they don't sign cromartie/plax/edwards, they are going to have to overpay some FAs or pull off a miracle trade.
There's really nobody else to pay.

1 year deal to a vet that still might have something left in the tank. A typical Pioli move (not saying this in a negative way).
They seem to be high on what Powe can bring to the table, so this will work out decently as a stopgap/tutor to Powe.
I've heard they wanted to get Franklin from SF, but he thinks he's worth 8-10 mil a season. If he comes down on his asking price (by quite a bit), there's a chance they will sign Franklin too and have Gregg fill Shaun Smiths old role as run stuffing DE.
Other rumor floating about is the Chiefs are trying to close the deal on getting Le'Ron McClain. We're starting to become Baltimore West.
You can teach hands. Give me DHB, Teddy Ginn, Roscoe Parrish and Eric Decker and a QB like JP Losman or Dan Orlovsky and I guarantee you I can bring a lombardi to whatever city I coach in. Id just run flys and deep posts and let JP throw rocket balls for 6.
haha
looooooool
And that is 100% srs.
Also, wtf at the Chicago Cowboys? Hurd, RDub and now fucking Barber? Seriously?
Edit: And nothing of value was lost. More overrated UT trash.

Other than UDFAs, draft picks, and a couple of their own players that were set to be free agents, the Packers have still done -nothing- in FA so far. They cut Tauscher, Barnett, Poppinga, Chillar, and a couple others, so they have some cap room (that they definitely could've resigned Cullen Jenkins with, he only got 5M a year from the Eagles), and the only team FA left is James Jones. Even if they re-sign him they'll still have money under the cap, dunno what they'll do with it.
Other than the DE position, it's just all about quality depth, but still. Just getting people back from injury shouldn't be their only "reloading" plan...
In Ted we trust I guess.
Reason why theres rookie holdouts atm.
The bulk of the holdouts are clustered from picks 17 through 24. Only one player in that stretch, Bucs defensive end Adrian Clayborn (No. 20 overall) has agreed to terms. The fact that Clayborn overshot the allocation for his slot by roughly $75,000 possibly has contributed to the problem. Clayborn received $8,210,000; the formula pegged his slot at $8,135,000.
Another issue could be the question of the extent to which the contracts will be guaranteed. Clayborn’s deal is fully guaranteed, which squeezes Pats, Chargers, and Giants to do the same thing. Likewise, the players picked at No. 21 through No. 24 may be seeking fully guaranteed deals, and the teams may be resisting.
Dumb ass Bucs.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...join-the-jets/Plaxico Burress will join the Jets
The fuck...
Would rather have my man Braylon back, but I guess Plax is cheaper and technically has a bigger upside (and a huge fucking downside wtf)![]()
Cue Tyche.
