Losing Heap hurts no matter what, there's maybe 2-3 other TE that block that well, and then of course there's the fact that no matter what level his age has him playing at, it's going to be extremely consistent and reliable.

Wait so no one has picked up Moss yet? I realize Plax is extremely cheap and it's really up for debate which of the 2 will be better this season, but still surprised that he got picked up before moss considering he just came out of prison lol.

I honestly think both are going to have good, above-decent, above-average years. Not GREAT years, but better than expected.

I think the reason he's not getting signed is he wants a 3-4 year deal to finish up his career with some decent money, and everyone looks at, well, every team he's played for since the Vikes and says "Uh, yeah, we're not signing you for more than 1 year at a time."

I think the reason he's not getting signed is he wants a 3-4 year deal to finish up his career with some decent money, and everyone looks at, well, every team he's played for since the Vikes and says "Uh, yeah, we're not signing you for more than 1 year at a time."

Yea I can't think of many teams who would actually bite at a 3-4 year deal unless they give him a McNabb style contract, where they can cut him at the beginning of a season with nothing to lose incase he shits it up.

The one decent FA the Bengals sign, Deuce Lutui, shows up overweight and fails the physical. Goes back to the Cardinals and they sign him to a 1 year deal.

Then they have A. Bradshaw coming in to town, then re-sign Benson to a stupid 1 year deal (in a fucking west coast offense), so Bradshaw cancels his trip.

They're also losing currently signed players left and right to injuries already.

Fuck it.

Still, considering his injury history and age I wouldn't be that upset. Dickson and Pitta should be ready to contribute.
