Can't really compare the two sports that way, basketball is much more dependent on individual skill. What the Mavericks did is very rare (One superstar, an All-Star, and 10 other pieces built around the Superstar, better coaching and team chemistry), it hasn't happened since the Rockets did it with Hakeem.

If 3/5th of the Eagles 22 starters were All Pro/Allstar level like the Heat they would dominate. Eagles still have very real problems, like their offensive line and Vick's health.

The Redskins have been irrelevant forever, so that's a retarded comparison considering that only retards would give them any offseason praise. The Eagles set themselves up perfectly for this offseason's Free Agent period and are still top 5 in youth in the league. They aren't like the Redskins signing aging vets to absurd contracts.


Just like ManOwarr said, they've still got to perform on the field and stay healthy. That's what's awesome about this year is they saw what depth you need for a SB run (Packers last year) and set about doing it. All of this is possible cause of those two cap geeks in the FO.
