Supposedly the Cowboys got this guy from that one track star college (I think Demos mentioned something about someone on pats from there). 6'3 4.34 40 or something with good hands. He soudns promising.

Sounds like the guy the Eagles got (UDFA), he had a huge freshman year and ended up breaking his leg in two and didn't return to form. With the way this offseason is, crazy amounts of potential talent will be signed and ultimately released once it's time to trim rosters to size.

Yep. Was true for Roddy White too. He was a bust until he learned to run routes and concentrate on catching the ball.

I don't see what else you would want in a WR besides that that can't be coached up (Route running, reading the defense). I'm not saying he's gonna be Dez bryant or anything, was just mentioning it.

I know you aren't, I was just saying big dudes with quick 40s are all over the place. You can't really coach quickness as it concerns route-running, and even when it comes down to "just coachin' em up," plenty of guys still fail. Like I said, it took Roddy White a few years to figure it out. He had all of the physical ability since he was a rookie, but it wasn't until he stopped partying 24/7 and realized he needed to do things like study film and really work on his craft that he made it. If he hadn't been a first round pick, he probably wouldn't have been around long enough to figure it out. Coaches don't have the roster space for many projects. Potential is nothing, performance is everything, etc.

Abilene Cristian, they pump out track stars for the NFL every year. Not sure if any of them have stuck yet though. Cowboys have 2 guys from there in camp.
