You can bring up stats, and we can talk about how Rivers has the most YPA 3 years straight, how he has more playoff wins than Romo, how until last year he was pretty much unstoppable in December, how he topped yards last year with an injured Antonio Gates in the 2nd half that left him not as effective. How Rivers against the Colts played through an injury to try and carry the team on his back and in attempt to make a comeback and go to the Super Bowl. And I'll just go AFC > NFC before someone else does it.

Tyron smith was a good pick up. He's gonna boss niggas especially learning from the best pass rusher in the league.

I'll give you that, but someone in the interior line seriously needs to work on stopping power moves. There were a couple times where Romo had a lineman basically in his face in a second. That's about all I saw though. Held up well against whoever is on the first team at SD right now.

Pretty much the same stats except Romo's bad INT vs River's getting butt raped twice from holding the ball too long.

Romo didn't get touched, the starting O-line has been beasting - only question mark is Left Guard and it's not really a problem, they have 3 quality guys that can play there they are just trying to figure out whose best.

Third string O-line was terrible though.

The defense has been pretty bad but they are starting Alan Ball right now since both starters are out, Igor Olshansky should also die. Mostly the secondary always looks confused in Rob Ryan's new scheme though.

I remember when several of you were thanking the Chargers for Olshansky when you got him. Knew that wouldn't last with how he was doing for SD in his final year. And I know this is nitpicking, but I would prefer my QB take a couple sacks than throw a stupid INT. To each his own though.

And yeah, Romo does have comparable stats to Rivers, and both have been comparable to Rodgers. Like was already said, Rivers is the better QB but it's not by much - they are both in the non Superbowl winning/non-Eli group right after Peyton/Brees/Brady/Rodgers

As much as I wish this were true, Rivers really isn't comparable to Rodgers. He runs the ball twice a season. The whole Romo vs. Rivers thing is irrelevant since the situations aren't nearly the same.

The "he did more with less!" argument is a cop-out in this case. We could argue all day about every possible team weakness(but look at his O-Coordinator! but look at his right guard!). Rivers is better than Romo, but they are close.

Floyd is not absolute trash, for a #2. Remember now, he only had around 45-50 catches last year, and didn't break double digit TDs, despite being basically the only WR option for 8 games. If you want to play the "he had Gates and Sproles" card, Romo has always had Witten as well, and when he wasn't broken he had Felix too. They both had people to throw the ball to. You won't have a good QB throwing to Buster Davis and Roy Williams.

Romo was on pace for over 5k yards last year before getting hurt, he was beastin' in those first 6 games, even though they were still losing thanks to the defense. While Rivers was losing thanks to his ST.

Compare their stats Gadritan, go check out Pro Football Reference. They are almost exactly the same on every stat - Rivers has more yards total (hes played 19 more games) and Romo has a higher TD% (highest active in the league actually).

They are both in the top 5 in Passer Rating ALL TIME. Big difference is Romo had Wade and Jerry while Rivers has Norvball and AJ Smith.

They are comparable, until they win Superbowl(s) they will always be in the 2nd tier.
