I like people questioning the Cowboys for starting 3 rookies/2 year players on the O-line this year while the Eagles are doing the same exact thing with worse graded players.
Once teams had time to game plan against Vick last year he broke down, both mentally and physically. All this Dream Team shit is going to get Vick killed by late hits - even the worst teams on their schedule will play the game like the Superbowl.
The Overhyped Mantle is not a good one to wear going into the season, the Cowboys know.
By the way
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...rs-80-million/We’ve gotten our hands on Mike Vick’s new contract numbers. As expected, it’s not nearly as good as advertised.
For starters, the sixth year voids if he participates in 35 percent of the snaps in any year of the deal. It’s actually a five-year, $80 million deal.
Of the amount, $32.5 million is fully guaranteed, and $3 million is guaranteed for injury only.
That makes the total guaranteed $35.5 million — $4.5 million less than the reported guarantee of $40 million. (It’s also less than the guaranteed money Vick would have received in 2011 and 2012, if the Eagles had used the franchise tag on him again in 2012.)
Vick can earn another $3 million if the Eagles win the Super Bowl in 2011 or 2012, and if Vick participates in 77.5 percent of the plays during the regular season.
Under the five-year deal, he’ll make $20 million in 2011, $12.5 million in 2012, $15.5 million in 2013, $15.5 million in 2014, and $16.5 million in 2015.
So it’s still a great deal, and as a practical matter it’s probably worth $48 million over three years. But it’ll never pay out $100 million because there’s no way that the Eagles would keep Vick for all six years if he never takes more than 35 snaps in any single season of the deal.

http://www.the700level.com/08/30/11/...24&feedID=8510$100 million is an astronomical sum no matter how you cut it up, but given Mike Vick's past bankruptcy situation, he owes a whole lot of that number to creditors. CNBC's Darren Rovell actually digs in and takes a look at just how his money will be divided up.
The takeaway? Vick will make about 11 percent of what the Eagles pay him according to Rovell.
How does Vick make out? Well, he's allowed to keep the money left over after his creditors are paid off on the schedule made by the court. So next year, he starts with $17 million, takes $300,000 for himself, gives $5.85 million to his creditors, pays taxes and makes after taxes and makes required monthly payments to his ex-girlfriend and his mother, among others. That leaves him with about $3.7 million.
Of that, he has to pay the lawyers and accountants, 50 percent ($1,850,000). Vick can then bank the other $1,850,000, but can't touch it. That means that on a $17 million salary, Vick will net about $1.88 million next year.
Still a shitload of money, but meh, makes me feel a little better about it. Also, I hate the overhype that the Eagles are getting, though around here everyone really seems more interested in the Phillies right now.
Cowboys are overhyped outside of Dallas?
Its kind of funny that the Eagles are getting so much hype everywhere but Philly, where people are barely even acknowledging their existence right now. Even sports talk radio around here barely talks about them, which is shocking since that's all they normally ever talk about, even during the offseason. Also, I hate the overhype that the Eagles are getting, though around here everyone really seems more interested in the Phillies right now.
smart eagle fans never get their hopes up
Espn reporting foster has a tear in his hammy.
.......
So that's what that sound was, I swore it was millions of keyboards typing "tate."
Got a link, couldn't find anything on it on the ESPN site. If it's true though, my division in fantasy football just got a bit easier for me to win as I also have the team that autodrafted receivers and rb's till it took cutler in like the 9th round in my division as well![]()
twitter looks like its confirming it.
really considered drafting foster in money league with #1 pick but figured mr peterson was the more sure thing. chaching
Man the NFC South is gonna suck this year. Can't wait to see the Curtis Painter vs. Derrick Ward week 1 matchup.
Also, no wonder Foster was so pissy on twitter about fantasy players.
TYVEN I LOVE YOU
Now they are saying he tweeted his MRI as a joke and it's not that bad.
Honestly, I don't see why people conduct fantasy drafts so early. I'm sure it's a time/scheduling issue, but the preseason has a history of putting out a marque player or two. There goes millions of people's first round pick. I'm gald all my drafts are from when the last preseason game is played until the start of the first regular season game.
