And Roses delivered to her house tomorrow, because I have to work :l
Anyone ever think about getting someone a chainsaw?
My girlfriend just broke up with me... through Fedex![]()
Valentine's day is our anniversary (fuck off, I swear I didn't know it was Vday when I asked her out). This year it will be 5 years, but I don't think we are doing anything special other than going to a seafood restaurant and stuffing our faces with buttered lobster and crab. We just got back from vegas last night so we don't exactly have a ton of money to spend lol...
My original plan was to propose to her but I'm not done paying for the ring and I haven't been able to man up to talk to her 6'6" 350 lbs dad that already hates my guts
I drew this girl I've been seeing a picture of her as a Anime character and wrote on it "Will you be my Valentine". Only been going out for a couple of weeks so I didn't want to go overly romantic or anything.
If all else fails my right hand and I are going to have a very romantic night together.
just out of curiosity, what is the proper etiquette for these types of situations in this day and age? is it really frowned upon to NOT get the approval of one's parents before getting down on one knee and making a life long commitment? If i love the girl enough, the only approval i would need would be through kay's jewelry financing or bank of america loans. But if she's one of those hardcore family types, would there ever be a situation in which the dad can go "no. you cannot marry our daughter. thanks for stopping by." ? because that would be absolutely hilarious. I think i seen a Everybody Loves Raymond episode on that lol
No matter the answer of the parents, you are going to get married anyway. It's just out of respect and tradition that you ask the dad first.
Last i checked, parents do not own their kids, and have no say in such matters. Obviously it's in your best interest to get their approval, as you'll likely have to deal with them on christmas, etc, so you probably don't want them hating you. But in the end, they really have no say.
Valentines day is my fucking birthday. I'm going to break up with my boyfriend who I didn't want in the first place.
