spellcast makes trials a lot less of a pain in the ass to do. Instead of retooling my macro's everytime I'm out building a staff, i can just equip it and type out /ma blizzard 5 with the appropriate target selected.
I'm sure a lot of old school mages still resent being forced to type <t>. I used to and still can play WHM just fine without windower, it just makes the job a lot more enjoyable and takes out a lot of the frustration.
Should get a good idea the increase in guard skill-ups soon (mnk 19). Bout 20 minutes on patch.
They didn't do shit to Parrying from what I can tell. I got Dagger from 236 -> 259 in about 75 minutes. I got maybe 1 Parrying level in the same time.
This "huge increase" is an AF3 feet droprate "increase" redux. Tweaked the RNG on their end a little and if you're lucky it'll pan out for you. Most definitely not some "huge increase." So aside from Maintenance downtime and some shit with Armor Storage nobody cares about was anything changed? "Mini update" sure seems appropriate.

They call it a mini update, but they talked about it and built up the suspense so much for it, that it felt like a major version update was coming. Then it comes, and it's so tiny. lol.
Unrealistic expectations perhaps?
Anyways, I did notice a bit of an increase with guard skill-ups overall. Went from a 27 to 36 in bout an hour worth of work. Not bad for low-level stuff I'd say.

Staff 268 to 354, Parry 250 to 295, Shield 295-361, did 15ish lvls to cap club and 6 sword too.
Supertanked pulling all Hannequet's in Attohwa (all conning DC-EM since reset) up in to the maze NW of Conflux 5. I changed atma to Mounted Champion, Gnarled Horn, and Roaring laughter to speed things up after I did shield. Rate and amount of skillups have definitely increased, subject to the usual slowdown once you are within a physical levels worth of skill to cap. SJ doesn't matter if doing pld, and no support required. Beware pulling to the SE area of mandy spawn, shouttards like to pull Tunga in there and wipe, adding Tunga to your pile of 30+ mandies.
Parry skill rate on PLD was always shit, 45 lvls caught me by surprise.

Got like 2 full levels off parrying in about 2 hours off DC mobs, I would say its just fine.
Is anyone else having issue where the GM tool for running through NPC/PC/Mobs isn't working?
Brother was skilling up his H2H and went from like.. 63 to 85 in 2 easy prey coeurls... getting like 0.4/0.5's constantly XD
So at least its semi-working for low-levels
I know low level got improved a while ago but..
I can safely say that I have never used any tools.
I'm with you Kuno, yeah the game is a fucking pain in the ass to play legit, but if you aren't, why bother? Go play WoW or something.
