News of Bane's voice to be tweaked is now official.
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hea...dy-bane-275489Sources close to the movie say Warner Bros. is very aware of the sound issue. One source working on the film says he is “scared to death” about “the Bane problem.” And with good reason. The last Batman film, 2008’s The Dark Knight, grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, and the studio doesn’t want anything to tamper with Rise’s chances for success.
Sources also say some at Warners would like Nolan to change the sound mix, but the filmmaker, whose autonomy is well-earned (his Inception earned the studio more than $800 million and two Oscar nominations), has informed executives that he plans only to alter the sound slightly, not to rework it completely.
“Chris wants the audience to catch up and participate rather than push everything at them. He doesn't dumb things down," says one high-level exec, declining to be named. “You've got to pedal faster to keep up.”
Official trailer 2 had a better voice, but I had to watch it twice before I was sure I heard him correctly. I just wish it didn't growl so much, on top of the thick accent; probably them trying to make it sound different coming through the mask >_<. At least it's being tweaked though.
Good to hear. Only die-hard nuthuggers were going to defend the obvious difficulty of understanding Bane's voice.
yes. everyone but you is deaf. that is clearly it.
i guess the only thing left to wonder is how close The Dark Knight Rises will track to Knightfall ... they don't show who is using that walking stick ...
Gonna be a whole lot of Banes walking around next Halloween....
Azrael would be bad ass.
I don't see batman dying. At worst he might give up his role as Batman to someone else (Joseph Gordon Levitt as the other theory says).
Is this Nolan's last batman or just Bale's? Or was it Nolan who said it's his last and Bale would follow suit.. or something?
Pretty sure, either way, that this batman story is ending and the next one is going to have to be another reboot.
Neither? This is the last of the new batman movies that have come out. One way or the other, nolan is done with batman, and I don't think any one else has the balls to take it up again for another 10-20 years after how epic the last two have been.
