Am I the only person who isn't overly pumped about seeing this movie? Maybe it's because I know it can't out do The Dark Knight. Maybe it's because almost everything shown hasn't really made me go "oh shit have to see this". I dunno but I'm not pumped or excited and will probably end up skipping Midnight Showing opting instead to work over at work.

When you start to nitpick over a villain being "too" anything, you start to unravel the entire basis of superheroes. They're all the embodiment of attributes pushed to the eXtreme do the dew. You could argue that Batman is the same as Bane, but Bane has drugs and Bruce has $$$. That being said, I think he looks fucking retarded in this movie.

That's the thing. Most Batman characters don't suffer from Superman syndrome. A lot of them are not really fit for serious movie treatment, but if the only big name villain he could figure out how to work into these movies was the Joker, he should have saved him for the third movie.

I actually find Bane pretty fitting for a 3rd Movie : he's the exact opposite of the main character.

Batman would top Ras Al because Wayne was in his prime, physically speaking. In fact, they were tied in terms of brains.
Joker was a very clever, intelligent villain tho he lacked the connection and support something like the Leage of Shadow could give. Again, not a match for Batman on a physical level.

Bane represents the twisted reflection of Batman. High intelligence, physical excellence, high resources to back him up.

I think Bane will do very well in this film. As stated, if Nolan incorporates the Knightfall storyline, which looks like it to me, be ready for some good shit.

Not as good as the other 2 trailers, but still exciting seeing some new footage. Bane stopping Batman's punch is scary as fuck.

Also, I think Bane looks just fine. It's as realistic as hes ever gonna get.

"Name" villain. There are a small handful of Batman villains recognizable to the general public. The Joker, The Riddler, The Penguin, and maybe Bane. The Joker so dominates the list that the more I think about it, the more I think it was a mistake to make him the focus of the second movie in the trilogy unless the plan was also to have him dominate the third movie's storyline. You can't go from The Joker in the second movie to a villain of Ra's Al Ghul's or Scarecrow's stature in the third movie. After Ledger died, Nolan should have either recast the role or just cut his trilogy short.

I think the plan was to have the Joker continue into the third movie seeing how he was left alive. Unfortunately, real life tragedy occurred, but you're insane if you think Joker should've been recast. This movie is going to have to live up to the legacy of the last one as it is, imagine how much worse it would be if there was a new joker that needed to compete with Ledger's. But yeah, quit whining about a movie that isn't even out yet.

Which is why he's such a retarded villain. He's a super-genius who's supremely educated in every scientific discipline. He's 900 pounds of pure muscle with flawless technique in his own personal martial art which is superior to all others in every way. He's every super hero/villain created by every 8 year old in history.

Ummm he read alot of books and was highly intelligent but he was never some crazy inventor. He dint even invent the venom formula, he just took what they tested on him and ran with it. His upper hand was that he figured out Batman was suffering from a post venom AIDS and beat the shit out of him like a dog when he could barely lift his hands. It was not a fair fight which we probably will see in Nolans movie. Knightfall was a pretty long series that also dipped into Batmans past so I dont know what the fuck people expect. You would need another 5 movies to follow the comic.

I kinda wish Bane had a South American accent. And I really dislike the mask. But really, if the environment of the movie draws me in, I don't think I'll care about those things and I'll enjoy it.
