lol recasting Joker would be beyond terrible because that's all people would focus on. It's like when they Andy died and they casted new Spartacus. Something is off about the series and personally I think that's why next season is last. Anyways, need to get over what we know about the comic book. Obviously Nolan is doing what's right for the story line he created and stuff the audience can understand. It's a totally different reality than what we've seen in the books.

Actually, I'm reacting to the trailers and stills, all of which have caused a lot of vocal trepidation about this movie among the people not in the retarded-18-to-25 year old demographic.

I really don't like the explanation about Bane's mask though. They're totally getting rid of Venom it seems.

Well the whole trilogy is about as grounded in reality as you can get. A venom that makes a person incredibly strong is a little too fantasy for me, imo. Glad they at least gave him a more realistic reason to wear the mask.

Yeah, venom doesn't really belong in the Nolanverse. I'm okay with the changes hes made to Bane to make him fit. Mostly because I'm expecting to get one of the better incarnations of Bane ever in this movie.

Eh, some level of steroid effect wouldn't seem too far out there. Though, I'd also be cautious of doping up to nullify pain since it might risk generally affecting the rest of your senses and balance, especially against someone like Batman.

I'm fine with the changes to make the character work in the Nolanverse, but I'm just becoming less psyched the more trailers I see for this. It seems like it's a lot of, for lack of a better term, political intrigue and Bruce Wayne, and not a lot of Batman being awesome. Maybe it's just me, but my almost immeasurable level of excitement for this movie has gone down to praying it isn't boring and doesn't plod along.

I don't think it'll be bad, I'm just not into what I've seen so far. I didn't think Dark Knight was bad, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the majority of Batman fans.

If I remember correctly, they want him connected to this whole Justice League project in hopes that he'll bring the same level of awesome as his take on Batman and make it as successful as Avengers.
