Welt's completely right. Ledger's Joker only gets mentioned because the nigga bitched up and OD'd on mad pills. His Joker was on some depressing daddy touched me type shit, probably reflecting real life, and never struck me as THE Joker.

While I agree with this in principle, it's on Nolan. He made his own Joker, not THE Joker, and his is even better in my opinion. Also Ledger nailed the performance, whether you like the character or not.

I'm watching Batman Begins and The Dark Knight again before The Dark Knight Rises. Got to the scene in Begins where Batman was at Gordon's house and his son came out and I see Joffrey Baratheon. Wait wut.

Edit: Or not Gordon's son. Some random kid.

The critics embargo is lifted. Looks like everyone is loving the movie so far. It's sitting at a 100% with 14 reviews on RT right now. I'm sure it won't stay there but that usually predicts a pretty strong number overall. For a movie that had as huge expectations as this one, looks like Nolan has come through afterall.
