Is that his girlfriend or mother?
EDIT: Used to find Francis more annoying than anything else but then I saw his vid about Morbid Obesity when that Batman one was finished. Now I just feel like a jackass about the above comment.

Damnit the one in Times Square isn't 70mm... Guess I'll go to the Lincoln Square one next time (thats where I saw TDK). :/
Edit: I'm actually really fucking angry right now. I don't watch movies in theaters often so I didn't know about this... Bought Times Square tickets since it's by my office. Never again. Also can't change my tickets because Lincoln Square is sold out till next Wednesday.
IMAX on the same size screen as a normal movie is NOT IMAX. I remember watching TDK and having to move my head to experience everything on the screen cause the movie did not fit in my field of vision (I had pretty decent seats).
that francis video is priceless
Come' on dole
Working at a movie theater for 4 years, I can tell you that when you buy IMAX tickets the only thing you are paying for is the name. The projectors are pretty much the same as the Christie projectors. Don't ever buy IMAX tickets unless you're seeing it on a bigger screen.
the only imax cinema by mine is Millennium point and the screen is the size of 5 double Decker buses (i shit you not) need to check to see if its actually playing there
Got tickets to the Batman marathon at one of the theaters here.
Going to be epic.
So because of all the screenings, the ending has leaked. I am now officially afraid of the internet until Thursday night.
Holy Crapola, and I thought fake IMAX was huge >.>
I dunno how you wouldn't notice the difference if you've ever been to a real Imax. real Imax is monstrous, the screen is literally your entire field of view.
Nah, never been to one. I heard they were big but 76x97.... dayum!
I can't really read all 57 pages during at work, but i was wondering is this is Christopher Nolan final Dark knight? If it is, so why is he stopping on this trilogy ?![]()
This picture is a better comparison and it also shows how the movie is cropped. Also Chun, the screen does not fit in your field of vision as Tyrath stated. It makes certain scenes seem more 3D than actual shots filmed in 3D. Like the TDK prologue (skyscraper scene -> bank robbery). lol

Differences between the two:
IMAX (15/70):
15/70 means 15 perforations wide and 70mm film.
Gigantic screen, up to 8 stories tall.
Screen extends beyond the viewer's peripheral vision.
Projects true color space and a doubly brighter image, roughly 10 times the quality of HDTV.
Boasts a 15,000-watt surround sound system, consisting of 44 speakers arranged so that the slightest sound can be heard from any seat.
Steeply-pitched (20 - 25 degrees) stadium seating allows everyone to have a full, immsersive view of the screen. There is a large gap between the screen and front row, so there really is no "bad" seat.
Movies like The Dark Knight, Mission: Impossible -- Ghost Protocol, and The Dark Knight Rises have parts or whole scenes of the movie filmed with IMAX cameras.
Image expands 40 percent to fill the screen during IMAX footage.
Digital IMAX:
Screen size is only slightly larger than a 35mm presentation, and only about 1/4 the size of a full IMAX screen.
Image does not extend beyond the viewer's peripheral vision.
Digitally compressed image, only twice the quality of HDTV.
6,000 watt surround system.
Seating is deep instead of steep, like any normal theater setting, reducing immersive quality.
IMAX footage is cropped to fit the more rectangular 1.77:1 aspect ratio (IMAX film is more square with a ratio of 1:33:1).
Image expands only 21 percent during IMAX footage.
To answer the question above... This is the ending of the trilogy. No more Dark Knight movies after this.
