Saturday afternoon here, the best IMAX in the area was sold out for Thursday midnight/Friday weeks ago.

Midnight trilogy showing and then doing real IMAX at 5 on saturday for meee. Never pre-bought two tickets for a movie before.

I'm pretty sure this is going to crush whatever the Avengers' opening weekend record was. Our Thursday marathon/Midnight Friday showing at IMAX sold out awhile ago. Sucks, I really wanted to go Thursday because I work all damn weekend.

I'm not entirely sure about that. TDKR doesn't have the 3D ticket price boosts so it might fall just short. IMAX tickets push it up too, but that format isn't as widespread as 3D (plus my true IMAX theater tickets are cheaper than most 3D tickets I see). But if you look at it on a per ticket basis, it will definitely surpass Avengers in a big way.

I wish they did box office records by attendance rather than money. Star Wars, E.T., and Titanic would curbstomp them both.

I didn't think about this not being in 3D. I think that puts Titanic in real perspective, it didn't have IMAX or 3D.
