WHERES DAVID FICHTER CASTING NEWS?????
The Hugo Strange thing could just be touched on in the end to set up a third movie where the plot revolves around him figuring out who Batman is over the course of the movie. That should fix the problem of him contributing to character overcrowding in this flick.
He'll end up at the end of the third movie to set up the plot for the third movie?
Nolan's done that before...haha. Who knows. (Yeah unlikely)

According to Dawn Keezer, director of the Pittsburgh Film Office, the Warner Bros. production could be here for four to six weeks shooting in Downtown and the vicinity."We are thrilled to be welcoming the Batman film to Pittsburgh, and eager for the economic impact that our city will experience. The Dark Knight Rises will be shot at various locations around the world. Production on the film is already scheduled to take place in the United Kingdom, Los Angeles, Bucharest, and Detroit. The film is slated to arrive in theaters on July 20, 2012."They're still nailing down actual locations but what they really fell in love with was the diversity of architecture and the gorgeous buildings that we still have in Downtown Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas."

The Hollywood Reporter just broke major casting news! Actor Josh Pence has been added to the cast of The Dark Knight Rises. His role may surprise you, and gives a huge hint to the direction the story is going. I’m going to put it in spoiler tags — continue reading at your own discretion.
Spoiler: show
Ok, so more like flash backs than anything else? I mean, I love seeing these villans, but I hope it doesn't get too convoluted with enemies that none them get much face time... but then, I do have faith in Nolan. If there is any director that can have 3 OR move villans/anti-heros in a movie and pull it off, it would be Nolan.

Daniel Sunjata is the latest actor that's been cast in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan has been filling up his cast recently, and other than the usual suspects like Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman, Sunjata will join actors such as Tom Hardy who's playing Bane, Anne Hathaway is taking on Catwoman, Joseph Gordon Levitt who will be Alberto Falcone and then there's Marion Cotillard who might be Thalia Al Ghul. Nolan has recently been filling up the smaller roles as well. Juno Temple was cast as a Selina Kyle type sidekick, and Josh Pence is taking on the role of a young Ra’s Al Ghul.
Sunjata is best known for his role in the TV series Rescue Me, and according to The Tracking Board, he is “rumored to play an ‘important character to the story.’” That gives us nothing on who he will be, but he's in the movie, and the part will be a speaking role.

I dunno how I feel about all this "young Ra’s Al Ghul" news. I've always interpreted it as Ducard was himself, but then when the old guy died, he became Ra's because he was next in line or the highest ranked member in the league of shadows and passing the name was how Ra's lived on forever (since Lazarus Pits aren't exactly real). Unless young Ra's is a new guy and not a flashback, I feel it more or less kills that interpretation.. Having him be a young Ducard would also work I suppose though.
Nah, the whole idea in Batman Begins was that Ducard was Ra's Al Ghul the whole time, he just had someone else pretend so that he could act from the shadows.
They pretty much establish that in this scene:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXjaE3Gst_M#t=2m27s
Bale: "Or cheap parlor tricks to conceal your true identity Ra's."
Neeson: "Surely a man who spends his nights scrambling on the rooftops of Gotham wouldn't begrudge me dual identities."
Or.... He just means dual identities as in I have a second identity now that I'm Ra's! >.> <.<;
I see what you're saying (especially with Bale's line), I just really liked my way of interpreting it
(It also makes so much sense in the greater Ra's Al Ghul background~)
