I'm very happy with bane being the third and final villain. I enjoy a joker-type villain but it would have been boring if they did another dark knight

as for the nuke thing.. I was sufficiently disappointed with the cliche BS before that point to care a lot

But also, and I'm no nuclear physicist, a nuclear reactor used for energy is way different than a nuclear bomb. A nuclear reactor, at WORST, is not as bad as a nuclear bomb exploding. So.. I just figured the 6 mile thing was including fallout and all of that bullshit. Basically, I was ok from the beginning with it being a very weak "bomb" since it originally was not meant to be a bomb. And that bot thing was damn fast, as shown by him out running fucking missiles (which too, was bullshit)

    The timer was stupid though.

Looking back I think what kept the movie from being my favorite was because there was SO many cheesy lines and predictable cliche stuff (and bane voice of course). Movie was catered too much to the clappers, I think

To be honest, I would have only liked it more if it ended with alfred looking across the table with him giving a slight smile, then cut to black.

Then again, the robin ending was pure win.

I know right especially after actually getting the timing of the different inception levels near perfect...

Ras al Ghul (however you spell it) also almost destroyed the city with the evaporator canon thingy.

To the person arguing the bomb physics, they said 4 megaton bomb, not 14. (95% sure anyways)

To the people complaining about Bane being a "henchmen", it was never even implied that most of the events were Talia's idea. She may have had the grand plan in mind, but Bane probably came up with the how, where, when and Talia supplied the why. If Talia had been in charge of everything, they would not have waited for the bomb to go off on it's own they would have just detonated it and been done with it. Bane wanted the chaos and the rich to pay for their sins, Talia just wanted them all dead.

At least that's what I tell myself to subside those issues.

Disappointed with lack of Venom for Bane. Other than that was a great movie.

I will agree that while the fight scenes were cool, how he fought in this one was completely different than in Begins. He was totally ninja-like, martial arts, making use of all his tools in Begins. He tried to brawl the entire movie in 3, which while I can understand why a little, you'd think with the city on the line he'd just do what it takes to win.

Don't know what you smoked before watching this movie, but Bane was the shit. As far as acting, Heath came out on top. But, overall as a villain, I would go with Bane. What Bane did to Batman was more interesting to me than when the Joker had Rachel killed and turned Bruce all emo.

She wanted Bruce to suffer the mental anguish of powerlessness too though. Pretty sure when Bane tosses him in the "Lazarus Pit" to watch Gotham burn while he can't do anything, she was all for it.

I suppose, it just seems really unrealistic in the nolanverse.

Iunno, that sounds a lot like what Bane would have done too.

At some point in the mass destruction you see Talia with some people before she's Talia and my boyfriend called it that she was in on it. I didn't think so but we kept watching... as soon as Batman "saved her" and threw the gun to her I was like "fuck, she IS in on it." We just didn't see how far the rabbit hole went with her being the daughter... After the movie, he did say he should have gotten it thought because he knew the Ra's Al Goul dude had a daughter. He was kicking himself.

As for people complaining about the Convenience of Gotham being near an ocean i have always seen the comic book settings in the DC universe as, Gotham is an East Coast city, you can tell by things such as a subway system & the docks are there in begins so there's obviously a way to gain access to the ocean. Gotham and Bludhaven are also very dark in nature compared to cities like Metropolis & Coast City to reflect more with the type of crime that batman/nightwing face, places like that make it convenient for crime families to bring in there wares.

Also a few pages back someone mentioned that there was no way that the Gotham island could support itself. Bane specifically mentioned bringing supplies in, however we only see it when the CIA are in the trucks near the end.

Talia wanted Bruce to see his city die & be helpless to do anything about it, that's why he was placed in the prison and kept alive, he knew how long it would be before it detonated and that agony is part of what talia wanted him to experience.

Two Face would have made a better judge than Scarecrow but for story purposes Dent is dead and they needed to add more Inception actors into the mix.

Hah. I'm not sure whether you are being sarcastic or not, but regardless that is hilarious. Ignoring Inception, I <3 Cillian Murphy.

I know, but I'm making the argument against Bane just being a henchmen, and I was just saying that that is something Bane would have done anyways. I'm saying Bane was the mastermind behind a lot of what went on and that Talia was more the ideals behind it.

And yeah I had no problem with Scarecrow making an appearance, he is my favorite Batman villain and was somewhat disappointed with how underplayed he was in the first two movies. First movie he was a sideshow and the second movie he was essentially a drug dealer.

Checked out the movie yesterday. Definitely not as good as the first two but I still enjoyed it. Tom Hardy did a pretty good job with Bane. I mean, let's be real here. It's a bit difficult to be the guy that follows up Heath Ledger's performance. So whoever they had in mind was going to be compared to him from the start. JGL was the man as usual. Anne Hathaway I was a little skeptical about but seeing her rocking the Catwoman suit quickly changed my mind. Entertaining movie but I expected more from the LAST(fuck you Head!) entry into the series.
