A potential future child is mentioned when Alfred first brings it up. In the actual ending, there is none seen or mentioned. Based on the events that occur in the ending, I am assuming that everything there happened within a few weeks or months (as opposed to a few years) after the films climax.

I mentioned it would be cool if they did it instead. Maybe that is where you saw it?
On Earth-2 in the comics, they have a child named Helena Wayne who became Huntress. She can be seen in that bad Birds of Prey show from like 8-10 years ago

I didn't remember a kid in the ending either but more than a few things online have said their was one so I went with it thinking I was wrong. Unless they're juxtaposing the 2 scenes since there definitely was a kid in the imagination one.

Also the whole armory thing is why I don't like the Bane-Talia relationship. It gets to messy to tell who is telling who what to do.

Bane and Batmans fight happens under Wayne Enterprises. It's shown that they've been working in the tunnels for quite some time before that fight occurs, it just happened there because Bane wanted to completely crush Batman. *
Miranda Tate couldn't have known about the Amory unless it was on a need to know basis for being on the board of Wayne enterprises. I'll touch on why this isn't likely in a second.

That day was as follows -
1: They day prior it is revealed that Bruce Wayne's fortune is gone due to gambling on the future's market. I'm still not sure why no one outside of Batman seemed to link the stock market incident with this, but whatev's. I can believe it based on the "Flash Crash" that happened in real life, but still. That much money doesn't pour into the market without someone noticing.
2: The next morning Lucius Fox shows up and takes Bruce to the Fusion reactor to show to Miranda to convince her to save the board.
3: Board meeting, Bane takes over Bennett's office, Miranda and Bruce have an adult hug, Batman runs off to go fight Bane.

Neither Fox nor Wayna have any motivation to show her the equipment under Wayne enterprises. Fox mentions that all the prototypes are from divisions he's personally shuttered, and a big plot point is that Bruce keeps the weapons away from the world so that they cannot be used. Bruce no longer having control of the company means he can't decide that if someone else knows about them, so its illogical for either Fox or himself to go blabbing about their location. So Bane had to know the location long before hand, but how? *We know from Miranda explaining why Bruce shut down the reactor that she knows Bruce doesn't like when his company builds something that can be used as a weapon. This is how Bane knows this and uses it to crush Bruce's spirit. "I was wondering what would break first"

Definitely not the only one. I don't necessarily think it was a bad movie but I found it really copied too many elements out of the first movie. The villain motivation was pretty weak. For me it isn't really the plot holes (which there was a lot of distracting ones) it was just the pacing, an unsatisfying ending and overall Batman.

Bruce Wayne just giving up and hiding after the end of the 2nd movie felt pathetic and out of place. I realize the emotional impact of losing his "girlfriend" would have been notable but HE'S DEALT WITH LOSS. It wouldn't have made him quit Batman he would have become obsessed with Batman ignoring the rest of his life. Like Doug says in the review the second movie has zero impact on the third movie. Bruce Wayne quitting just felt like they were trying to hard to come up with a reason he'd lose to Bane.
    Spoiler: show
I felt no investment in Batman at all when they ended the movie I felt nothing. If Batman had actually died then I'd feel like the story would have almost felt it worked but the actual ending was trope.

Hm, I felt the opposite. He gave up batman because crime was defeated

He only went back to batman because gordon was shot and knew shit was getting serious after JGL came up and told him about it all

I thought this movie, aside from the origin effects of Batman Begins, was the best at making me care for bruce wayne/batman

His best point(the doug review), to me, was "what was this for again?" Because I still don't like Ra's plan. Killing a city so specifically is pretty stupid to me. Killing is killing, you(bane - so smart?) shouldn't care about torturing someone if they're going to die anyway.

Oh, and his little "what's the point of dark knight if joker/two face really don't make a difference!?" is unfair since joker literally couldn't return lol

The end of The Dark Knight specifically said the plan was to make Harvey Dent "The White Knight" so that Batman was no longer needed. Gotham was supposedly damn near crime less for eight years until shit hit the fan, was he suppose to bust people for jay walking?

You know what would actually be a really bad ass idea for the next Batman movie that wouldn't even necessarily have to be a reboot yet still strike the same tone as the Nolanverse? Batman Beyond yo! Being in the future it can easily lend itself to the imagination of what's perceived realism of that era.

omg I agree. I feel like that he went through that whole scene only to figure out that: "omg all I had to do all along was punch Bane's mask O___O It's so obvious to me now!"

So I was thinking about the movie at work and listening to everyone's complaint that there wasn't enough Batman in the movie... and you know what? I actually liked that. This movie tied in a lot with Batman Begins in that Bruce is becoming the guy behind the mask. In TDKR he's put away the mask and has become so frail. Eventually when Bane breaks the Bat and throws him in the pit you see that as symbolism for the well in Batman Begins. "Why do we fall?"

I like that the movie told that story. Bruce failing as Batman and then eventually coming back for once last stand... Then finally leaving behind a successor to pick up the cape and cowl.

Forget all the physics/math with the bomb (cause it doesn't make sense) and just appreciate this movie for what is is; a really good conclusion for an otherwise fantastic trilogy. One that will stand the test of time.

I don't know about people complaining about not enough Batman. All the complaints I've seen/heard so far is people either loving or hating the Talia twist.

Didn't that have Rasta Joker in it though?...or was that another Batman animated show, I cant remember. I just remember a Rasta Joker

Yeah I would have liked to see the hoses coming out of the mask or something so that Batman had to cut them with a Baterang or do some fancy dodging to try to get at them like he usually does in the comics and video games.

Batman beyond has the same exact joker, no?

I remember watching an episode where the new batman is fighting joker and old bruce is on the bluetooth thing and is telling him to just ignore all of joker's BS but instead the new kid does some jokez of his own and he beats the joker up without old batman's advice to bruce's surprise

I actually thought instead of Robin JGL's name would have been whatever the kid's name is in batman beyond, lol

Ya definitely don't agree with everything in that review.
    Spoiler: show
On the other hand with the complete lack of chemistry between Talia and Bruce made the betrayal have less impact. I also had that spoiled somewhat because in production it was rumored she was Talia. Bane not being the child that escaped wasn't really that good of a twist because they never gave you any reason to not believe it. The reveal was more of a M. Night Shaywatatwist. I just expected more from Nolan since he's usually so good.

Again I think I should clarify. I don't think it was a bad movie or even a bad Batman movie for that matter. It just didn't work as well for me as the other Nolan Batman movies. Overall felt more like one of the animated Batman movies trying to be a bit more pretentious. I'd have to say out of ranking Batman movies I'd go Dark Knight > Batman Begins > OG Batman > Mask of The Phantasm > Under The Red Hood > Dark Knight Rises >>> Batman Returns >>>> Batman Forever (c'mon it was fun and campy had it's moments) > no particular order for the rest >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Batman & Robin (Joel Schumacher's.)

Joker was an icon in Batman Beyond for the most part and then basically he was magically inserted into the future via MacGuffin. They adapted like 3-4 episodes to make it a movie I think? Definitely was awesome when the Joker was getting pissed at the new cocky Batman making fun of him, lol.

One really nice bit about the ending was that Batman(the figure) took the place of Dent from TDK/the white knight. That was well done I thought.

The Joker in Batman Beyond was like, the original joker memories infused into a new body by laughing gas or some shit. Can't remember but it was something like that.

There was also some genetic component too I think.
