I don't see how people think that's a hallucination, Bruce set it up so that Alfred would have closure and realize that he didn't fail the Wayne family. If it was a hallucination it would ruin the feel of the ending and make me want to kill myself.

A lot of people are saying Nolan should've cut to credits when Alfread smiled. You know if he did that so many people would be complaining how much bullshit it was that he ripped himself off to redo an Inception ending.
If it was a hallucination, what was with the auto-pilot scene? Bitches be dumb.
People just want "their" nolan movie too badly
In inception, memento, the prestige there were elements of the story that were (I think) carefully omitted to create a storyline that fell in on itself if tried to be figured out. There were things that supported many conflicting theories about the ending and themes in the movies (less so the prestige, but it was a mystery up until the reveal, and I guess I should mention Following since it is similar in its reveal).
It'd be like if there were plot holes that would be integral in knowing whether or not batman dies or lives. With evidence in the movie that would support batman dying, and then some evidence that batman lives. I think it's a clever way of making a movie where everyone pretty much clings to whatever they would enjoy most and ignore the conflicting things for their version of the movie.
That didn't happen in batman though. There's like.. nothing pointing to batman not living but everything to him living, lol
Before the movie came out knowing that they kept the ending a secret I thought it was going to end like:
Miranda was never Talia, just a character made by Nolan to make people think she was Talia
Cut to a few years after the climax and Selina has a child, saying his name is Damion
I think that would've been a good twist ending, but only the people who actually know who Damion is probably would appreciate it
Also, in my personal opinion I believe it was a decent Alfred ending scene.
i gotta confess i like the release-bane's voice better...
Same here. Prologue one is too hard to understand.
Going to see this a 3rd time today in imax. Still excite D:
I personally would've liked a cut to the credits when Alfred smiled ending.
I bet Nolan fucked the entire movie up on purpose to set a precedent that his movies will suck if you order him to change things around
which reminds me, did anyone ever find a source on warner bros "ordering" nolan to change the ending from batman dying?
Ask TPG, he's the one that mentioned it earlier.
Fucking great movie, This might be considered the "Star wars" of our movie generation (LoTR trilogy would be the previous one). Each movie was great overall, I personally feel that BB, TDK, and TDKR better represent the story for the following movie.
My only complaint about TDKR after seeing it twice is that, I feel like 10-20 minutes of film was cut out of the movie.
The first was really the organisation of bane's and how he came to get all his super devoted soldiers. The quote he says to one of his followers during the first scene made me super curious about the formation of the organization.
The second would be the time when Bruce was in the jail, i feel like there was at-least one scene left out here that focused on James Gordon's underground organization. It jumped from him in a hospital bed to completely fine in a very short amount of time.
Anyway's i'm hoping they put out a box set fucking filled with extras, I would love too if they put out extended versions. I would buy the shit out of it.
In my rankings TDK/TDRK > BB (but just barely).
Love the movie! went to an early Imax showing today and it was totally sold out!
My one gripe
Spoiler: show
By back into the city, do you mean back into the country or how did he get past the guards? 'Cause the second seemed pretty obvious... He's the motherfucking Batman. Just climb across the top of the bridge at night. The top wires were still connected.
