Yeah I know what you mean but you have to remember that the film is set during a six month duration.

As for Taki's question, like Rhyis said, he's Batman. No one knows his city better than him plus he's a ninja. He also had like about a month to get back to Gotham after escaping the prison.

I'm not even gonna spoilers this anymore because if you are reading this thread without having seen the movie yet, you deserve it.

When does Batman eject? I've postulated that it could have been when he blew up the building and the resulting explosion provided some cover for the ejection. But then you see him again in kind of a close shot that looks like its still inside the Batwing. Then they show the bomb with three seconds left. So I'm guessing there is maybe a lapse of time between the close-up shot of him, then the shot of the three seconds where he could have escaped too. But it's strange that he wasn't instantly obliterated during the blast because he was so close. That's why I was thinking that he ejected during the building explosion, but after a third viewing, I still don't know.

Did anybody catch something I didn't, or is this just an unresolved thing?

I think the shot of him in the cockpit was a red herring to throw the audience off anyways. I doubt it was at the same time that the Bat was far over the water already.

I really hope this is the case if they really in fact did make him change it (anyone with some proof might be nice). It will make the sting a lot less for me knowing what ruined this movie for me was a subtle middle finger to censoring/etc lol.

Just watched the movie in a matinee(I dont like watching it with too many people around, makes it hard to hear the movie), god that was amazing. I've skimmed past most of the posts here about complaints about the ending and I can relate(showing "Robin" finding the Batcave just kind of further brings to realization there is going to be a shitty Batman to follow this prolly, not done by Nolan) but I still enjoyed it, made sense to me he'd do it after he got back his fear of death in the prison, although I sorta agree with what someone posted here and that they kept Christian Bale offscreen in the scene at the end, Alfred's smile would have said it all + the autopilot scene with Lucius would have gave it away already.

My major complaint with the movie is that Hines Ward does not run that fast(It has prolly been mentioned already but I don't want to do a search for Hines Ward).

He didn't know what was happening behind him till he turned around though -- I just attributed it to, he looked faster cause no one was catching him, but no one was catching him because they were all falling to their doom.

In real life Bale isn't a superhero vigilante either. You have to understand in this movie Ward is an ACTOR.
