Is this a general thing with having a disease in high school(cause little kids with shit seem a lot happier about life)? I was depressed as shit when my UC stopped me from playing football and I stopped caring about everything (ffxi certainly helped fill the void). Wasn't until college that I finally started using the downtime from the disease advantageously.

    General regrets:
Abandoning piano when I was a teenager, not starting it up again until college, and not taking peoples advice to pick up bass.
Waiting so long to get a drivers license

God damn ya, FFXI really helped me deal with the stress of CF. I am really thankful for this game at times.

I actually enjoyed marching band in high school, and even more in college.

Also, I see someone mentioned the 90's hair... I regret doing that and then dying the remaining hair red or blue, because the portion I dyed matches rather conveniently to the areas of my head struck by male pattern baldness, thus forcing me to shave my head in perpetuity.

One of my good childhood friends who is completely not the Magic type just started playing last semester. Something about being an engineering student and getting high everyday with nothing to do because he has a photographic memory so he doesn't study. I played a little, and actually went to a small tourney, but I was much too cool for it at the time and didn't keep up with it.

    Oh, and

I dunno about that, some cards' value has gone nowhere but up over the years.

This seems to preclude any cards that were actually used for play. Even in those individual sleeves the corners tended to show wrinkles and cards would grow a little arch shape depending on how you shuffled them.

I played yugioh in like 7th grade but I dont really regret it other than it just being stupid and really lame. my friends and I used to go to walmart every friday and steal fucktons of cards, probably $100 each person each week

I regret not shoplifting from Walmart when I was underage; looking back, shit would have been so easy to get away with.

I never owned any of the good Alpha and such cards that became expensive. I stopped trying to make good tournament-quality Standard decks because the cost is just too goddamn high for the entertainment. Also it was always more fun to 1) buy enough boosters to just make mediocre draft decks and play with friends, or 2) build good decks with proxies, fuck tournaments, and play with your buddies.

I only shuffle playing cards "that" way, but yeah if you're actually playing with a card don't ever count on it retaining any value (if it had any to begin with).

I only do proxy decks now when we're in the mood. The cost of some printer ink and some white paper is much better if you really feel like playing.

I stole shit when I was younger, but I don't really regret it. Side effect of not getting an allowance while other kids basically threw everything cool they got in your face. Was never anything expensive, either. Think the highest value item was like a $10 lego thing I pulled from the box and yoinked from a K-Mart. Otherwise, it was just candy, gum, or maybe a magazine if it looked cool.

Well, okay, I lied. I stole 2 game boy games from a prick of a kid.

So much money wasted on pokemon cards. Probably like 10,000 cards lying around in boxes somewhere in my basement.

I don't actually regret pokemon cards, I was really into it in 6th grade and acquired a bunch of rare jp holos from unfair trades with the K-5 kids on my school bus. I sold some of those holos in 7th grade and made a small profit so I was happy there.

Never got into Yu-Gi-Oh cards seriously.. and Pokemon R/B/Y more then redeemed itself senior year of HS when during hte second half of the year my entire circle of friends got into it; we wasted many a AP science class (chem and phys got into it and would find excuses to visit the other classes room to make trades, battle and such)

By 'emo' I didn't mean that I started dressing in all black, cutting myself, and listening to My Chemical Romance, just that I really did nothing/had a negative view about everything. And I didn't get to congratulate you before on the double lung transplant because I was too busy trolling Wop, but congrats. lol I hope everything works out okay for you. I'd challenge you to a sick-fight, but you'd win for sure.

Also played FFXI a ton, but never really accomplished anything. I don't necessarily regret it but it certainly contributed to my overall laziness.

I kind of regret selling all my magic cards, i had alot of really old cards. I did make 2k off of them. Once i finished school, got married and moved away, there wasnt anyone to play against. I did keep a demonic tudor and juzam djinn.
