Just assume everything ever made is in the process of being remade. It's easier and more surprising if something isn't being fucked with. Is there a list of those?

All of my wut.
Clearly a mediocre reboot is the best way to make people think T3 and Salvation weren't garbage.
I actually enjoyed T3 somewhat; yes it is a shadow of T2 and T1, but the ending was solid imo. Salvation was just fucking terrible; pissed me off because I was so amped for the post-apocalyptic era of the Terminator storyline and they just fucked it.
Press release;
Skydance Productions, Annapurna Pictures and Paramount Pictures have jointly announced they will partner on a rebooted “TERMINATOR” movie, to be released by Paramount Pictures on June 26, 2015.
The first in a stand-alone trilogy, “TERMINATOR” will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Laeta Kalorgridis (“Avatar,” “Shutter Island”) and Patrick Lussier (“Drive Angry”) are attached to write the screenplay.
Launched in 1984 with star Arnold Schwarzenegger as the title character, “TERMINATOR” spanned 3 subsequent films, which have earned over $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
David Ellison most recently executive produced, along with his partners at Paramount, “World War Z,” “Star Trek Into Darkness,” “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” and “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol”. A 5th installment of in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise is in active development, along with a 3rd film in the “G.I. Joe” franchise, among other films.
Megan Ellison most recently produced the Academy Award®-nominated “Zero Dark Thirty,” “The Master” and executive produced “Spring Breakers” via her Annapurna Pictures banner and has David O. Russell’s “American Hustle,” Spike Jonze’s “Her,” and Bennett Miller’s “Foxcatcher” set for release later this year.
Classic for being a hilariously bad 90s movie with so much over the top hams on screen that you must see what happens next. That is if the doses of Rob Schnieder don't kill you before the movie ends.
Reboot Dredd nailed the source material but too bad that flopped at the box office.
So... is Rock gonna kill John Connor with the peoples elbow?
the guns n roses song is the best thing about any terminator movie.
So what you're saying is nothing good came out of the Transformers movies then? Prime is from the aligned continuity, along with War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. Think the movies are their own continuity.
Transformers was never anything but a vehicle (errr... fuck) to sell toys, though. Sure, the Bay movies are dumb, but you can't ruin something that was never good in the first place. Not really comparable to Terminator, which can be and has been bukkaked by sequels, repeatedly.

Former Doctor Who star Matt Smith is joining the new Terminator movie in a "major role."
In case you were wondering how Matt Smith would spend his time now that he's done with Doctor Who, that appears to have been solved. According to Deadline, the Eleventh Doctor is joining the new Terminator trilogy that Deadline are describing as "a major role that will grow in the second and third films." In other words, he won't be cannon fodder.
The fifth Terminator film, alternately referred to as Terminator: Genesis and simply, Terminator, already includes Emilia Clarke (as Sarah Connor), Jason Clarke (as John Connor), Jai Courtney (as Kyle Reese), Day Okeniyi (as Danny Dyson) and an unknown gentleman named Arnold Schwarzenegger. That's an awful lot of potentially heroic types in this movie. Could Matt Smith be making the leap to villainy to distinguish himself from his time on Doctor Who?
Emilia Clarke (as Sarah Connor)
AHAHAHAHHAHAHH OH GOD ROFL
WHERE ARE MY ROBOTS
Oh god i completely forgot they were doing this, thank you so much for the reminder.....
On the note of Smith thought, he'll be the villian, he's a British guy in an American movie thus its a foregone conclusion thats what he'll be, so might just watch it to see him get slapped around a bit.
Arnold is really old now.. I guess there's gonna be some CG make up or something.
So basically..
Terminator(Original) → Terminator 2 → Terminator 3 →(Terminator(new) → Terminator: Salvation)
@_@
They're also gonna have an aging Terminator as part of the story last I heard. How or why that is. No clue.
