Weapon breaks do get better the more you progress.
I really wish I downloaded this via steam than ps3 (fucking friends), the graphics would of been a lot better / more intense to play on.

Day off work, played 11 fucking hours straight after release. Just got back up, downloaded a patch and my save files are gone. Gotta restart all over. Think its time for me to put this on the shelf for a bit.
My levels/skills and inventory are still there but yeah, all my quests are not there and actually when I hit continue from the menu it put me in the lighthouse, but before you would have the lighthouse accessible, so I was locked inside and couldn't open any doors or anything. Hit restart to checkpoint and it started the game over. Am disappoint but oh well, debating whether or not to keep my inventory and levels or start over completely, since I did use no-clip for some things >_>.
Ugg, I guess I'll pick this up Thursday or so... hopefully they work some of the problems out by then lol. Plus I'm still hooked playing Xenoblade... need to finish that up!
Just ordered to from newegg for $50 shipped. 4-7 days shipping, but I'll live

Question; I've explored like the entire island part avaiable to me before the mission where you have to vet the life guard security card in bungaloo 11, and I've yet to find Maggie, or the survivor in the life boat by the beach. I got a transmission from a guy saying he was in a life boat by the beach surrounded by zombies. Well, i've patrolled the entire beach up and down 3 times and am yet to find him. Does he not exist?
I think you have to unlock mission 2 for some shit to appear. That goes for quests too.
But who knows, it might be a bug!
Man, hearing about all these bugs and shit just puts me in a position where I'm less compelled to actually start playing the game before the patch drops.
I wouldnt mind starting over as the football jock.
It's a fun game. I haven't run in to any bugs at all so far, but perhaps I'm just lucky. The only "bug" I've ran in to is dlc not being available due to "incorrect version", but that doesn't really bother me since I can't make it yet anyway.
As for the questions I had earlier; I figured I'd be able to find Maggie before doing the plot line quest since it was given to me, and I figured I'd be able to find the life guard since he gave me a transmission about it. Suppose I should do the quest and then go back to finding them if that isn't the case.
problems on 360: I've had a few weird graphical glitches on my end, like a truck being invisible except the hood and doors, framerate/graphics get kinda shitty in indoor "instanced" type areas (when you have a loading transition). Also, at least in 4 player, the enemies do a loooot of damage relative to your ability to hit them back, and the spawn can be kind of broken sometimes, whether its respawning in the mob that killed you, or respawning 400m away from where you died. Those are rare instances, but frustrating, as you might imagine.
Hard to hold on to a decent amount of money when mobs down you in a few seconds. Also the bleedout period when downed is almost always too short for someone to revive you. Assuming they even have medkits, and another issue with medkits is trying to back out of things and wasting medkits since they're on B. Still a ton of fun, but can get irritating over time, and given I played for 12 hours yesterday, it added up.
The only ones I've run in to that kill me fast are those "Thug" type mobs that flail their arms around you and knock you down. But I learned quickly to not use knives agaisnt those, but longer blunt weapons as you don't have to get inside his melee range that way. Most of the time you can kill mobs without even getting hit by either throwing stuff at them, or running around in a circle around them while hitting them. But then again, I'm only lvl 5, so I'm sure it'll get harder.
Are there zombie dogs or something in this game, or is it only humans?
I have to say; I love the game so far. It's quite relaxing just mowing zombies down with kitchen knives, diving daggers, paddles, shovels and broom stick. I also found a revolver and a machete, but I have to be lvl 10 and 14 respectively for those
The characters must be damn strong to be able to throw a wrench at an enemy and get it stuck inside of their chest.
Funny video people made using the dev kit released on steam.
Haha, suppose that's why there's no third-person view in the game![]()
So many fucking glitches. I'm personally loving the can't run up any stairs glitch. You have to jump up and pray you catch something that keeps it from tossing you back down. Did anyone even bother testing this game before releasing it?
And that somehow makes it acceptable then?If you didn't read anything here or anywhere ;P the version released state side was, by a mistake of the distributor, a buggy dev build. The normal, patched version will be released in EU on Friday and that's when the current version is supposed to get a patch.Distributor represents your company and your product, best make damn sure it's done right. Obviously that wasn't the case here. One of the bigger hyped games of the summer and someone screws up. Not a good sign.
