Downloaded/Installed FFXI onto my E: drive (1tb), everything worked fine. I noticed at the same time, however, 30 gigs from my C: drive (120g SSD) disappear. I can't find anything that is related my just looking around, what would have done that? I wasn't doing anything other than installing the aforementioned at the time.


Edit: Uninstalling didn't free up anything.

When do the manufacturers start to slash prices in anticipation of the holidays? Because new items are coming out, etc.

I was about to build a new computer, but pieced together some old shit that limps along for now. If I can hold out for four months, then get an i-7 3930 for $350 (currently about $530), and some 7950s for $300 instead of the current $400-$420, I might be willing to wait.

I haven't built new in several years, and have lost track of the cycles manufacturers dump inventory on.

HD 7950s were only released at the start of the year and the 3930k is an extreme/enthusiast CPU so won't see much of a drop even second hand (look at the prices of first gen i7 990x/980x on ebay). Don't expect prices drops anytime soon or by that much (excluding sales)

Touch metal before installing anything super sensitive and just avoid static electricity in general while working. Don't drool too much on the motherboard, either. And good luck with the motherboard inputs cover.

Ok installed a Windwos 2008 R2 server for tests and i'm trying to put some Windows XP and Windows 7 machine on it.

I installed my Printer which is a HP Printer 64 bits and it went fine, when i tried to install my 32bits driver for my Windows 7 and XP machine i have to find a ntprint .inf which i find and all is fine.

But when i see the printer sharing all i see is X64 and X86 drivers. Since Windows XP and Windows 7 are different. Which driver should i put it so it works on both, Windows 7 or windows XP?

Reliable gpu fan control software beside MSI Afterburner/ATI Tray Tools? Both applications result in bsod while running driver verifier on a fresh install of win7. Am I stuck with cata. control center for my 6970 or is there something else out there?

Is the Printer installed on the Windows 2008 server?

If yes, is it shared?

If it is shared, then the x86 driver gets installed on the xp machine, and the x64 gets installed on the x64 machine. If windows 7 is running on a 32 bit machine, it also gets the x86 driver.

I'm slightly confused on your description, sorry if not helpful.

I'll give a printer exemple that i have Lexmark T642 downloaded the Windows 2008 R2 Driver and it worked fine (only problem is that it called it Lexaark T642 V
Then i downloaded the Windows XP driver to add to that screen but it called it Lexmark T642 and windows said I can't add it because it's not a T642V.

Also another question sincei know shit about videos.

Downloaded Fraps 'legaly' to fraps Diablo III but due to Windows native shit with Fraps it cuts the video each 4gig. (which is about 1min video of Diablo III)

So here is what i'm looking for

1) a Software that will let me record Diablo III and in 1 file (that i can shrink with Handbreak after)
2) A software that will let me add all the fraps clips and reunite it into 1 single file

FRAPs 3.5+ makes the 4GB splitting optional.
