Reformatted computer, no longer can access the IPTorrents website. 'Problem loading page'

Totally confused as to how that can happen. Sent them an e-mail about it, but anyone else have any ideas?

Or is the website actually down?

I literally was on the website 5 minutes before reformatting, and 30m later after it was finished I couldn't access it... so I thought it might've been on my end.

Any news as to what's going on?

Thanks for this. I noticed when switching between AHCI and RAID modes in the bios that the options for SMART support are only given for AHCI. Is it also on for RAID? I hadn't installed the Rapid Storage Technology utility after I'd installed using RAID mode to see whether they report or not. It's not terribly important, but I was curious.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe SMART info is stored on the hard drive, regardless of what the motherboard supports. I have read that some boards don't show the SMART data in the Intel software in RAID mode, but you can still see it by booting into Linux or certain diagnostic tools (the software still reported SMART events, just no info regarding the events).

I'm not familiar with your board (I'm still making my own purchases to build my PC), but I just looked up the manual. Pg 7 says:

The wording would lead me to believe that the controller would recognize SMART data in RAID mode.

Edit: I read that wrong. That is referring to SRT, not SMART. I still believe my first statement is correct though, that you should still be able to see SMART events from the Intel software, and if not in Windows you should still be able to view that info with other diagnostic tools.

Thanks for looking into it, I tend not to realize when what I'm asking is readily available. That it's supported within the OS regardless seems like it makes the whole issue kind of trivial as I thought it meant no SMART support at all so it's good to know.

It's quite possible that SMART gets disabled/no longer passed on by the chipset when you turn on RAID mode. There are quite a few RAID controllers that block SMART for whatever reason.
Since RAID mode also tends to lengthen boot time because additional firmware parts get loaded i'd say enable it only when you really want to use it. Stick to AHCI mode otherwise.

That was my thinking, I had no interest is utilizing RAID or SRT and with the initial ambiguity on SMART it seemed best to use what fit the best.

ok, so this morning woke up, seems to be a problem with mouse, it double clicks... can't pause a player, i click ones, it pauses and plays right away
can't highlight anything with mouse on the screen and move things over
I recall last night tried opening a page from 4chan, said to disable my ad block, tried it on e. explorer, same thing, then just closed it an didn't bother again, but today... omg

I have norton 360 antivirus, done full check, restart PC and issue still persists, not too sure what to do now, help

Tried a different mouse? If you think it's a virus then download/update malwarebytes, restart into safe mode and run a full scan.

funny thing is, i bought 2 identical mice... ya... when first started having similar problems i put it in the box and forgot about it, took it out, plugged it, and it works without problems, like brand new... wow what's up O.o

well the old mouse still has similar problems, just not as often...

I hate .ts files (Mpeg2 transport stream). They are always ornery. All of the guides for troubleshooting playback are outdated or don't match up to my setup. Actually, most ts files are fine for me, just one or two playback jerkily. I'm tired of having this problem with ts as some things I want to watch are only available in that format.

Using the most recent versions of MPHC + MadVR + Lav audio/splitter (transform filters checked for all file types, internal filters all turned off, LAV set to preferred).

Wat do?

Was curious about pairing up RAM and how dual-channel works. I bought the samsung RAM recently that's supposed to be ideal for overclocking, but I only got 2 x4GB sticks for the moment. I've never overclocked RAM before and I'm assuming both sticks would be given identical settings, but will that affect dual-channel functioning?

Also, if ever I came to wanting more and got a 2nd set, would having the same RAM but with different timings and clocks be a problem? Is dual-channel only affected by the 2 sticks that are paired together on the motherboard? I'm assuming that's more an issue concerning quad-channel chipset based motherboards.

The RAM will function in dual channel mode as long as they are in the correct slots. It depends on the board, but typically slots 1 & 3 are paired, and 2 & 4 are paired. When you adjust speed and/or voltage, it will affect all four slots. Dual channel will not be affected unless you install your RAM in the unpaired slots (ie 1&2).

If you buy an additional two sticks, it's recommended to stick with the same specs for the previously mentioned reason, all four slots will share the same speed, voltage, etc. So if you're running 1600 RAM now, but buy 1333 down the road, you'll have to slow down your faster sticks to accommodate the slower sticks.

Looks like it's caused by a part of my nVidia drivers. Funny that I updated them very recently and this has never happened before. Whatever though, I'll try to find a solution.
