Which tablets have 5ghz frequency? I know Apple Apps > Google Apps > Kindle Apps in terms of number, but how significant is that? I won't use the tablet personally, so idk what I would specifically look for. Just a general idea of how gimp the stores are comparatively would be nice.

SATA ports are independent, you can attach your disk(s) to any of them, doesn't matter. Just make sure you set boot order correctly

Yea, thanks. It all boots correctly now. I was worried my mobo was fried. It seems like the connectors are still attached but the plastic as been pulled from the board itself.

For some reason I can't get HDMI to work through my receiver pass through but it works with the TV. Could it be the cable?

edit: Nevermind, just another derp. Had to set the receiver input correctly. Works like a charm now.

Is there anything I need to figure out before installing a new video card? I have PCIe ports (I think) and 8 GB of RAM but I'm not sure about my power supply or processor. I can post better info tomorrow (on my phone right now) but an idea would be nice before I go looking

Avermedia has the cheapest card for that, but reviews favor the Hauppage colossus series.

Might have ruined my new desktop lol, my windower kept crashing so I went to refresh the graphics card drivers. Uninstalled them and now my computer won't display anything.....halp plox

Do you have on board video? Your card should still work in safe mode using the generic VGA drivers.

About to smash my PC. Been having very random issues where my PC will shutdown or freeze on me with no warning. Usually it just shuts off, the freezing is rare. Some days it will crash on me multiple times in a row, then other times I can use it for weeks without any issues. There is not a specific thing that causes the crashing that I can find, it has happened shortly after turning on, after being on for hours, while gaming and while surfing the web. I can't replicate it, and my guess is some of the hardware is dying.

Things I have done
- New Hard Drive, reformatted everything when doing this. Didn't think this was the problem but I had to upgrade anyways
- New GPU. Thought this may be the issue, not looking like it. Upgrade from a Radeon 4870x2 to a GTX 570.
- New PSU. A lot of people we suggesting its my PSU going, so I upgraded from a 750W to a 850W. Still having an issue.

I am pretty frustrated at the entire thing. I didn't feel like replacing my entire PC, but I am out of ideas. My access to spare parts is limited so I have been replacing things one by one. I have ran Mem Tests, that for the most part have passed. I did have one freeze, but its hard to say if that was due to something else or not. I have had 15+ run successful. I have no other symptoms other then the random crashing. My temperature is fine, 70C on GPU while stressing, CPU and MOBO run around 40C.

Looking for any ideas/suggestions on tests or what might be failing. All other parts in PC that I haven't replaced are about 4 years old.

So the crashes just happen without any traces on the system logs? No bluescreens?

First guess for crashes/freezes would have been overheating... but 70/40 sounds quite good for stress values. Also, the random component wouldn't quite fit, overheat shutdowns always happen during load (obviously).
Really sounds like a tough one. Completely random guess would be a partially fried mobo... Those things can behave really weird when something's not yet completely broken...

I would say 95% of the time, there is no Bluescreen or crash log, other then 'Windows did not shut down properly.' When I do get a bluescreen, there is no information on it.

My next replacement was planning to be a mobo, just really didn't want to keep buying new parts to maybe fix it. I am positive there is no overheating. I just wish whatever it was that is going, would go so I know for sure.

Thinking of swapping my i7 930 to a 3570k, notice my gfs 2500k @3.4 is giving her better performance in GW2 than my i7 @4ghz. Microcenter has a killer combo atm, Asrock z77 Extreme 4 for 98$ (when paired with a 3570k) and the 3570k is down to 169... Only problem is the nearest microcenter is 500 miles away in Tustin, CA.

Looking for advice on overclocking my ASUS HD7850-DC2-2GD5-V2. Should I use ASUS's own GPU Tweak? I see MSI's afterburner being talked about all the time and it works with the card, but I didn't know if it mattered. Also, what temps should I be looking at? Right now at stock it runs at about 30 C and gets up to about 46~C under load.
