I held onto my 5870 since dec 09 (or was it 10... I forget), lasted me a while. Only recently started showing its age so I figured it was time to upgrade. Suspect this 680 will last me a while. Also I accidentally had 2 unigine open which is why it was messing up.
Anybody familiar with nvidia precision. I just got a 660TI and the guy told me it was extremely easy to overclock with that program. Anybody have any luck with this?
I use msi afterburner, not 100% sure if it'll work with just any graphics card. But it did wonders for my overclocked 560ti
Afterburner should be all you need I think. It also does screenshots and video capture and an in-game overlay.
Alright ill try afterburner. Just saw nvidia precision there on the drivers disk figured if ask
I got a new Seagate 2 TB HDD and I am having problems accessing it. I have a 60 GB SSD as my primary drive.
I can see the drive in my BIOS but can't access it through Computer. Still only shows my SSD as the only drive. Using Seagate's drive manager, I can see the drive but nothing in that program will allow me to modify it.
Model #: ST2000DM001
I've tried changing the BIOS from AHCI to IDE>AHCI. Doing this allowed me to at least see the drive in the Seagate DiscWizard. I have no idea what to try next.
I had the same problem. What OS are you using?
If it is 7 or 8 you need to go to disk management to see if it shows up.
7
And it does not appear in the list, but it does appear as Disk 1 in the table below the list.
Admin Tools > Computer Management > Storage, do you see anything there? Might need to allocate/format the HDD, that or it's DoA
Spoiler: show
Also, how can I format it without it having a drive letter?
Yeah, you need to allocate space to it, should be right click option. Dunno why System reserved is on it and not the SSD though, did you have it in while installing windows?
I did have it plugged in while installing windows. Only reason I reformatted the SSD was because the new one was not appearing at all.
Still does not appear.

Success! Found an option to assign a drive letter. Thanks for everyone's help.
You expanded the System Reserved, which isn't normally accessible by a user. Might be able to shrink it back down to 100MB and try again, that or reinstall windows with only the SSD in so that system partition doesn't end up on the wrong drive and then delete volume and try again.
Decided to chuck a couple more sticks of ram into my computer, but the ram I have in there is discontinued. So I've no clue what to buy, sorta.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148419 The ram that's currently in there.
How much are you looking to get? This 2*2GB set should work, it'll downclock(downtime?) itself to 10-10-10-28 but frequency is same. Voltage is the same which is the most important thing, everything else can be slowed down to match other RAM (although it's best to get same spec's so that you aren't either wasting money or slowing down your RAM, in this case the faster RAM is cheaper anyway)
Ok. this makes me think my computer's haunted...
Three times today, my computer suddenly shut off, no "I"m going to shut off" or anything, just..turned off. I had to reset the clock/calandar all three times. Anyone have any idea on what could of caused it? I keep wondering if my power supply's going out or something bad...
Also before you ask, the bios battery was changed recently, so can't be that. Also I checked; no errors, just shutoff. Makes me wonder if I need a new psu ><
Temps? Could be overheating, that or it does sound like a power issue although it's weird you had to reset the clock if BIOS battery was ok.
