Does anyone know how I can get my game audio to come out of my headphones while I play Netflix on a different screen and the audio comes out the speakers?

Jo; it might be a power issue, I'm wondering if I need to rep my powersupply. If this continues, that's first thing I'm going to rep if I don't get the $500 for a total rebuild (it's due one) first. temps are fine though. I checked.
I'm seriously wondering if the cpu overclock fan I got is overtaxing my psu.
Also since I'm working on the $$ for a total computer rebuild (also known as, new pc); Does anyone have any suggestions on good places to get a LEGAL (not pirated) copy of Windows 7? I'm open to coupons/discounts but not a torrent/keygen. Since 8 is coming out soon, that's my first target for it.
8 is already out, unless you are a student then OEM copy is cheapest you'll find next to downloading iso (legally) and then (illegally) using a loader.
What you mean by cpu overclock fan? What PSU do you have?
Hey apple fans, You have any idea why i cant schedule stuff properly on Siri Ipad Mini?

And no it's not my accent the problem![]()
Jo; current is a AMD 64 3600 processor; Is it any wonder I'd like to upgrade soon as I can get some $$?
I figure if I'm going to have to go upgrade my op system, since the PC is so old, it needs a total rebuild. Only thing I'm saving is prolly the hdd unless I need the dvd drive and the cd burner too. ^^
Last time I repped the processor fan, I got a overclocker's cpu fan for it even tho I don't overclock; I hate hot processors :D
I've been burning DVDs (maybe 10, one right after another) and my drive decided to stop recognizing that there is anything in the drive. Is there any common reason for this to be happening? And, just to save some time in case it has gone the way of the dodo, can a BR Burner, such as http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...20121230230738 burn discs that can essentially be used to hold movies of lower quality (than movies that you typically find on BR) but longer length? What I'm saying is is that if I wanted to put a series of shows on DVDs that would normally take 2-3 DVDs, could I put them all on one BR disc? And do most BR players play burned BR discs?
I just installed Windows 7 x64 on a new SSD, but I forgot to switch over to ACHI before I did that. Is it a problem if I regedit and switch over post-facto? Or should I just reinstall with ACHI enabled? I'd prefer not to have hardware issues later after installing all my shit, so I wonder if I should just reinstall now?
May as well just reinstall to be safe.
Thanks!
Is there something that can put like a black box in video files? >.> I'm using avc on videos from afterburner if that helps any.
Mkay, been doing some searching, think I'm gonna go up to 12GB instead of 8.
Would these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148544
Go into this Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131657
With this RAM already in it: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148419
?
Edit: And it's totally impossible to find a good capture card for under 100 bucks isn't it?![]()
They would probably work, but i wouldn't recommend it. Since crucial doesn't manufacture RAM chips itself but buys them from other companies, the CL value differs (CL10 for your current 4GB, CL9 for the new ones), and they hide the actual chips behind "heat spreaders", it's quite possible that the chips aren't 100% standard compliant and might behave strange when not run with the "correct" timings.
I'd say just get an 8GB kit with "blank" modules (visible RAM chips) and throw your current 4GB kit out.
It's best practice to only use identical modules (same company, same CL, in best case even same RAM chips) to minimize problems and compatibility issues, and that's where the heatspreadered RAMs sometimes fail.
Would anyone mind linking me a guide to overclocking RAM? I have the Asrock Extreme4 Z77/3570k/Samsung magic ram if there's something specific for that setup since it's so common.
Should I go with these? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820233144
Rather one of these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820226288
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820148477
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231635
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231645
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820208579
And out of those 6, rather one of the first 3 because they can run on lower voltage.
Notice the higher CL value (CL11 compared to the CL9 of the one you linked)? That's another sign for standard-compliant RAM, higher base clocks tend do cause more clock cycles needed for the same actions. But because of the higher clock, they are still a bit faster.
Not worth it... RAM OC only produces performance gains in single digit ranges, and that's only measurable, not noticable. But OCed RAM tends to produce more bit errors, and that can cause serious problems...
I'd actually bought the Samsung RAM from your first link and thought the only reason to do so was because it overclocked so well. The reason I brought it up was because a game I was playing suddenly quit loading a lot of models and buildings and then crashed a few minutes after throwing up a low memory warning. Seemed kind of hard to believe doing nothing else at the time with 8GB RAM and a 2GB 7850, but I thought I'd look into it. I'm not sure if I should be looking at the ram or if there's a possible problem with the card.
Samsung RAM is good because it can OC well and doesn't cost a lot, that said it doesn't really make too much of a difference (only reason to buy it is that it can cost as much as a 1600MHz set anyway) and as such RAM OCing should only be done after CPU/GPU. The speed of RAM shouldn't do that though, do you have a page file set? Tried running memtest or Prime95 on Blend to see if the RAM is faulty? Is windows reporting it has 8GB and have you checked RAM usage to see if you are running a program with a memory leak?
Most of the settings for RAM should be in the same place (other than DIMM vCore, that's normally by CPU vCore). How far the RAM goes depends on your CPU and the RAM itself, but 1866/2000/2133MHz (and something like between 9-9-9-24 and 11-11-11-28 for timings) should work depending on timings and luck.
If the RAM turns out to be fine and not defective then set DIMM voltage to 1.5v (can go higher but it's not recommended by intel to go above 1.5v), tempted to say you have to try and find it yourself but try 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 1T as a starting point (should even be able to go tighter on timings) and increase freq until it crashes then either go back down or loosen timings (or try 2T) and retest, Prime95 Blend and Memtest86 should work as stress tests. There are other settings that can effect RAM OCing, but I think that's for the more extreme end of it. Google should have guides if you want to know more about the timings and what they do though
