While some bargain bin bundle would likely sate my family's needs for a basic shared PC, curious if it may be possible to put something together even cheaper that'd be comparable or better to such things. As a warning, I basically haven't done anything more complex with building a PC than swapping RAM or PCI cards, so things that might requiring soldering and the like would probably scare me shitless. But if we're gonna budget, let's say $500. My mom was pretty vague on what she'd spend.

But yeah, basically would be replacing a 10+ year old Dell with only 756mb RAM. Sick of them whining about things loading slow these days. >.>

Two of my computers have this weird issue of when resuming from sleep not displaying anything to the monitor so that they don't appear to be connected to anything. After pressing the power button the return the computers to sleep or hibernation and waking them back up, the monitors work. Does anyone have a clue as to where I should start? I've tried disabling certain sleep modes, only using sleep or hibernate, but nothing seems to work. It's random, too, and I never have to check any connections for them to start working. I'm just at a complete loss.

So I got a new laptop for Christmas, and I play FFXI on my desktop normally, but I put it on here for occasions like this when I'm home from the dorms for the weekend. It has an Intel HD4000 graphics card, and there is an issue with it that causes player and enemy models to not show up (everything is invisible with names above it only. anything targetable) There is a fix online, and it works, it is a simple update to the driver and it works like a charm.

Problem is, my fucking laptop keeps fucking reverting back to the other fucking nonfunctional fucking version every time it goes into sleep mode or shuts off. Then I have to reinstall the driver again and restart my PC and it takes up like 15 minutes every time. y it do dis

Quick PS3 question. I'm thinking of replacing the HDD in my PS3 for a larger drive. Can I take my old drive that works, hook it up to my bulk cloner at work and clone it to a new large hard drive, pop the large one in and continue on like nothing changed outside of the drive being larger, or is that going to cause my PS3 to freak out?

I've been using KeePass for a few years and I've been very happy with it. Just don't use windows authentication to encrypt your password database. If you ever format your PC, you'll never be able to recover that database. Just create a master password instead.

the difference im seeing is the write speed the Samsung 530mb/ 130MB/s Sequential Read/Write Speeds

the hp is Up to 550 MB/s read / Max Sequential Write Up to 520MB/s

if somebody knows of something better for less than 150 let me know looking to buy one online 2morro

They'll let me go to the sites but the streams just stay a black screen with nothing loaded.

I've learned to use personal proxies rather than the websites that offer it because things seem to still get blocked. Try this site, which shows you have to setup a personal proxy using google services.
