Pull his HDD and put it in your machine, copy files over?
In the market for a new HDD. I want to stay under 100 dollars, but want 1TB+. There's a deal on newegg for some HDD, but the reviews put me off a little bit...
Any one have any recommended HDDs?
WD Black series.
What do you guys use to get out rounded screws? Friend has a laptop where he tried to unscrew a screw but was turning the wrong way and rounded the hell out of it while tightening it... I'm thinking of maybe trying a drill with a tiny bit or something but I wanted to know if any of y'all dealt with a similar problem. It's actually the screw holding the cd drive in place so there's just a smidge of room around it; don't have a dremel.
Thanks, the spinpoint looks great.
Now for a video card. Looking to spend around 100 dollars, + or - a little bit if it means getting more bang for your buck. I obviously don't want any thing cutting edge, since the rest of my system will bottle cap it, and I'm not upgrading the rest of my system for quite some time so I don't wanna drop money on a vid card that will be out dated by the time I get around to it. I currently have an HD 2600xt for reference.
You can probably find a good deal on a 5770 now, $90 or so after rebate. AMD recently replaced it with the 6770, which other than a tweaked bios for blu-ray playback is the same card, only $20-30 more.
Looking for a new gaming headset that is NOT creative, I barely bent the thing and the fucking mic broke :/
Any suggestions?
I email them and they said the limited warranty isnt covered by this shit
PC or console?
If it's PC then http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD5...7636948&sr=8-1 & http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microph..._bxgy_e_text_b
pc oh oh god thats expensive, anything under 70?
You're not going to find a halfway decent pair cheaper than those Sennheisers.
And yeah, don't bother with headsets. Just get a cheap separate mic.
a) put a shirt on
b) while they're on topic, does the trick with the Senn 555s that always gets mentioned with removing the foam inside void the warranty? I was worried about that after Correction made a thread about his 595s taking a shit which are supposedly what the 555s are without the foam.
Does anybody know a setting that would effect the speed at which my computer scrolls when using a mouse?
I ran a virus scanner tonight and it prompted me to delete two things and after I restarted my computer out of safe mode, the scroll speed on firefox, chrome and window's picture viewer (and I assume others, but I haven't tested too much) have been increased drastically. It's to the point that if I have an image at the standard (75%?) view and do one scroll with the wheel, the image is capped at the maximum zoom. All of my googling has found is the ability to change firefox's individual response, but that only really solved a part of the issue.
I could use some advice on picking a DLNA server app. I've tried Tversity, Allshare, Wild Media and a few others - but I've found that they usually take an eternity to index my media and I'd like something that has decent codec support and can pick up on new files relatively quickly without insisting on a full re-index of my 3TB every time.
Any suggestions?
