iso is a disc image, you mount it on a virtual drive (or burn it onto a DVD) and it acts like a real disc. PMS supports iso though, are you sure it's a DVD iso you are trying to play? If it's not then pms won't be able to do anything with it.
Is there a disadvantage to ordering from Amazon vs. Newegg? (Warranty wise or whatever.) NewEgg charges me tax ; ;
If it's important that the warranty be valid, double check the manufacturer's site (or contact them) to ensure that you're buying from an authorized retailer regardless. Amazon even admits that they (or their sellers) may not be. Then again, a quick Google search will show that people have run into issues with that using Newegg as well.
Amazon shipping sucks. Their free/cheapest shipping options can take a week+ to get delivered. I get things from Newegg much, much faster. It's sort of subjective based on where you live, but I've never heard a complaint about Newegg's shipping process.
EDIT FIGURE OUT LOL NVM
NewEgg has a warehouse near-ish me so I get their stuff quick as well. When I order something from Amazon itself I usually get it like a day before it says it's going to arrive, or on the first day. Guess I'm lucky there. All of the parts I am ordering are from Amazon and not a side dealer, so from what I've seen it seems like the warranties won't be an issue.
Get Prime; it's free for a year and then $39/yr afterward if you sign up for the "Student" subscription. Quickly pays for itself if you shop online even remotely often. Then again, I may be biased since Newegg randomly charged me $120, which I had to have reversed through my bank, last year for no reason whatsoever. I hadn't even visited the site in months.
Newegg gets most orders to me within either the next day if not 2 days, rarely does anything take longer.
Amazon you can keep signing up for free prime for a month and get free 2 day shipping.
For computer parts, I almost always go newegg, except for my last purchase of a heavy case and 2 other things in which prime saved me like 50$+ and was 2day. For pretty much everything else I go amazon.
looks like it s bluray .iso
PMS might not support blu-ray yet, in '09 it didn't and if it's not working yet then I presume support hasn't been added.
Uncompressed bluray ISOs are like 30+ gigs, most home networks will have trouble streaming that anyway
Anyone know a good free program for ripping audio from a video?
Super.
So a friend of mine left back to Japan and left me his computer.
Most of the time when I try to install or download stuff all of the text is in Japanese. How can I change this so it is all in English?
Anyone know a good/easy program to use to convert MKVs into MP4 or AVI or something that will at least play on a psp?
Can try this, it's a program originally meant to convert mkvs to mp4s compatible with the 360: http://xenonmkv.ev98.net/
Is is especially abnormal for a quadcore CPU to have 2 of the cores run at a pretty noticeable higher temperature than the other two? Have an i7-950 with a Corsair H50 cooler, temps are fine but the first and third cores are always 5-6 degrees hotter than the 2nd and 4th ones.
