Any Netflix streaming subscription allows at least two simultaneous users logged into the same account. Used to be that it depended on the number of discs you could have out at a time I think. Either way, it's not exactly their intent to have you share your account info (in fact, I'm pretty sure some states were trying to make it illegal), but if you just want to let someone else watch a show because they can't afford $7.99 a month themselves...tell them your login info >_>

Yes, but you won't be able to login on both at the same time (not sure how it would work if one was offline all the time)

I played Oblivion on my brother's account for about 8 months in offline mode without any problem. He constantly was playing games while online without problem.

So I am having a weird problem and wondering if anyone may be able to shed some light:

Basically I plugged in my external with all my movies today in hopes of porting some more movies from my internal hard drive over to my external. I have used this external for about 3 years with no issues whatsoever (640 GB WD for what it is worth). For some reason when I go to open it up under Computer / My Computer the directory it takes me into is a folder for a single movie, which is now appearing as the "root" directory for the harddrive. My computer is simply calling it drive F: and what is under F:\ is just the one movie, but it shows I only have 70 GB free under computer, so my data is still on there. I have tried disabling and re-enabling in device manager, multiple USB ports, even tried my xbox, and I also ran a a chkdsk (/R and /F) to try and fix it and nothing seems to be working so far.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? (I am conidering ordering a new enclosure and replacing it, but I fret it has nothing to do with the hardware since I am able to physically access a piece of data, ie the one movie, and even play it).

Edit: I am adding this in case someone happens to run into this problem and stumble upon this post. I ended up using a data recovery program called PhotoRec (a secondary program that works with a program called testdisk, but they are downloaded together, open source, and free!). You just need to have enough space for your files on another disk somewhere, and it will run through and scan all the sectors of your hard drive and port them to there. Since my external is still good, im going to reformat it once I have all my directories sorted out and files named properly since it gives them default names and directories (its the only thing that it doesnt recover) so I can actually use the drive again. Hope this helps someone in the future!

I ordered a laptop from XoticPC and they claim to be out of stock on processors. How quickly do these types of places restock usually? If they do not restock, which processor should I choose?

    • 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i5-2450M, 2.6-3.3GHz, (32nm, 3MB L3 cache) (Supports up to 8GB - DDR3 1333MHz of Ram (2 SODIMMS)) (SKU - S2R159)
    • 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM, 2.0-2.8GHz, (32nm, 6MB L3 cache) - Slight Back Order (SKU - S2R223) ( + 30 ) [The current one that is out of stock]
    • 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM, 2.2-3.1GHz, (32nm, 6MB L3 cache) (SKU - S2N224) ( + 80 )

I do like to use multiple programs, but paying an extra $50 is lame considering the issue isn't on my end.

I went and looked that up after you posted. You're right that i7s use more battery life, but I hear the "most" is 10-15min. Is that what you had in mind or am I missing a point in my research?

Kindle Fire or iPad2? I'm not exactly tech savvy but looking at this chart, seems like the only thing going for the iPad is a bunch of worthless apps since the Kindle Fire has unlimited online storage, I believe.

I'm going to be buying a new laptop soon, looking for some suggestions as to any that will suit my needs if anyone can help.

I'll be mainly using it for, surfing the web, youtube and playing the odd game. I'm planning on getting minecraft but apart from that most of the games i would be playing are several years old. I would like a laptop that can handle a game such as minecraft with good visuals and performance. My current laptop is getting on a bit now and struggles. Was trying out the minecraft trial yesterday and had to turn visuals right down just to make it playable.

Looking to spend no more than £400/$620.

Been playing SC2 a lot lately and kind wanna record some of my games. Whats a good program to record with that is FREE. I know fraps is a big one but only lets me record 30 second videos with the free version... Games run up to 2 hours long. Is there a torrent of the free version or another program? Thx

Yeah I can link a free full version, one moment.

    Edit: http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5675...etail-%5BHB%5D

It's an older version but it should cover your needs.

Is there a reason for there to be so many old versions of the same programs like this? Do they serve a purpose?

Those are all DLL files. Basically they are shared code that can be used by several different programs, so that less disk space is used than if each program contained the same files in different areas. The bad part is that compatibility is often version specific, so programs using one version don't always work with the later versions, hence why you have so many.

Getting about 6 hours or so with my i7 laptop, I'm pretty happy. Maybe more, haven't actually tried it yet.

Outputting 1080p to my monitor, and with ffxi running in the background, I just unplugged the charger and said 4 hours >.>

Lookup Extreme Call Blocker or Automatic Call Block. Android only supports sending known numbers directly to voicemail, not unknown callers.
