The way I got it to work was everytime I restarted I'd have to launch the driver software and press the green enable button. Then I was good unless I unplugged the controller or restarted.

    Three questions:

    1. Is there anyway to automatically assemble sliced images extracted from iPhone apps?

For example I extracted an ipa (just renamed to zip, then extracted) and found the images in slices with labels such as:

<image name>_x1y1, <image name>_x1y2, etc for example. Is it possible to reassemble the images automatically (with some program or something) somehow?

    2. Can a USB external hard drives be used as extensively as internal ones (say could you run everything on an external hard drive)? Not that I'm trying to run everything on USB hard drive but I was reading reviews on newegg and noticed most people used them to back up only once in a while then most of the time (and even then, most seemed to break after moderate use >.>).

    3. Finally is there an addon for Firefox that prevents you from loading a linked webpage (like say it asks yes or no to load the webpage when you click a link).

Main reason is to prevent accidentally clicking links to sites (the internet is a dangerous place out there, may be malware. Also yes I have noscript but it's still a dangerous place).

Thanks in advance for any help .

External HDDs are just normal HDDs in an enclosure with a SATA2USB bridge chip and some electronic for power supply, so there shouldn't be any reason why an extHDD would die/break faster than an internal one. Well, except you carry them around all the time or drop them... Only reason why i'd not recommend them as a replacement for internal are read/write speeds. USB2.0 limits them to about 60MByte/s (decent 3,5" drives can reach 200MByte/s in their fastest regions). USB3 lifts that limit, but because of the bridge chip and latencies due to the design of USB they will always be slower than drives that are directly plugged to a SATA port on the mainboard.

Is it worth it to go in and set my RAM manually so it runs at 1600 like it is specced for? It runs at 1066 on auto settings. Just curious if I should even mess with it since it just heats things up in my case.

Yes. Ram wont heat up your case.

Like already mentioned after your earlier question about your RAM, just set the timings according to the JEDEC profile if they differ from auto detection, but don't raise the RAM clock unless you can get to it without raising the voltage. It may sound much, but the performance difference between 1066 and 1600 RAM clock should be <5%, and that's not worth a V increase.

So just keep it at 1066? It defaults to 8 8 8 20 timings when set on auto, but it is 9 9 9 24 rated. So it seems like it auto sets to a faster timing set, although ram timings are beyond my knowledge, which is why I'm asking. The reason I don't want to run at 1600 is because I do have to raise the voltage, and I don't want to widen the gap between DRAM and CPU VTT anymore than it is already. Already .4 difference and I read that .5 is the max safezone.

Smaller (=faster) timings on lower RAM clock are normal. The timings just say how many clock cycles certain actions need.
Just for comparison, the RAM in my PC has 7-7-7-20 when running at 1066, on higher clock speeds the timings increase up to 9-9-9-25. Use CPU-Z, the SPD Tab shows you the JEDEC profiles that are stored in the RAMs, those contain the timings for certain clock speeds. Unless those differ from what your BIOS set by auto everything's fine.

So, is it just me or are embedded YouTube videos no longer working on BG?

Getting a 7970 and i'm curious about eyefinity. I'm getting the sapphire version that includes a few cables to help with eyefinity. I don't have the monitors for it but I'd like to know what I'd need in order for it to work.
    the card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102961

I've decided to get a new monitor no matter what as the one i have is at least 4-5 years old.

@Qeo: they're working fine still, just look at the MLP thread, it's full with embedded YT videos and they all work

@Jiggly: eyefinity is just the marketing name for "look, our GPUs can use more than 2 displays at the same time! screw the nvidia 2-display limit!" ^^ The "trick" AMD uses is that when you connect more than 2, the third, fourth etc HAVE to be connected to a displayport port. The card you linked doesn't leave you with much choice anyway since you only have 1x DVI, 1x HDMI and 2x miniDP. The adapter cables are 2x miniDP -> DVI and probably miniDP -> HDMI or normal size DP. The blue/white adapter in the center is a DVI -> VGA adapter.
If you only want to use one monitor for now anyway, eyefinity doesn't matter. Just make sure that you do NOT connect the monitor through VGA. Use DVI, HDMI or (mini)DP, VGA is crap for hi-res screens and should be avoided at all cost. (I mention this for a reason. They've become rare, but there are still LCD monitors on the market that only have VGA <.<)

Didn't think this needed it's own thread, so I'm putting it here! Anyways how likely/unlikely is it for your email (hotmail) to get hacked without having anything on your computer? Friend said that he got an email from me/his own email through xbox messenger that was a phishing scam, I wasn't sure what he was talking about til a little while later I looked at my email and there was like 20 kicked back. I've scanned with my AV/Malwarebytes which turned up nothing, just kinda wondering how that might have happened.

Yeah, I thought it was just me. Somehow AdBlockPlus decided to block all things from YouTube when I wasn't actually ON youtube.com.

I'm hosting a mysql server for a private game and the ip it binds to is localhost, how would I go about changing that ip so people could connect to it? I know I could use hamachi to simulate a local connection but I would like to see if it could be changed normally.

I think I accidentally broke Javascript somehow. How the hell do I fix this? Nearly all the google results just tell me to enable it again, but it was never disabled. D:

Well some of it seems to work, but a lot of it doesn't seem to. What the crap.

Edit: Looking at error console, I am getting a ton of $is not defined on stuff that should be working just fine.

I just bought a new computer and having issues running FFXI on it. POL looks terrible all choppy and when trying to launch FFXI from it I get a direct3d error. Also FFXIconfig opens but it is blank inside which wasn't the case before. This seems to be due to the fact I have multiple monitors set up. I reinstalled the game last night with a single monitor and it worked perfectly fine. Today I plugged my second display back in and POL is back to looking like shit and same direct3d error. This doesn't even revert when I swapped back to a single display. Has anyone ever heard of this issue/have a fix?

Forgot to mention windows7 pro 64bit and NVIDIA GeForce GTX560 Ti

Is your password 5 characters? Could have been brute forced.

It used to be 11 and recently hotmail had me change it, to which it was changed to an 8 character password. I changed it back to 11.

Changed my pw last night and today I got 2 "delayed" emails from the postmaster that were sent out by the bot or w.e. Now I'm not sure if it's still in my email or those delayed messages had to do with the messages that were sent out yesterday.

when delay messages get sent out depends on the mail server, but common intervals are from 4 hours up to one day. so it's quite possible that it was from yesterday.
