Recently got a Asus transformer, not the prime model. Idk what the heck is the problem but I cant get it to charge, could it be a problem with the tablet itself of the usb cord it came with.

Boss wants me to get some apple certs. Therefore he is buying for me a macintosh computer of my choice, however I am failing to determine how to select a product. It looks like apple is releasing some newer version of macbook pro soon? Do they not simply give you more customization options as new hardware is released a la PC manufacturers? The customization options on apple's site look piss-poor.

What exactly are you looking to buy? A Macbook (laptop), iMac (all in one) or Mac Pro (tower)?

I think Mac Pro line might update as Intel server CPUs updates, with a lag in available GPUs (current offerings are 2 years old, although they may just update those less often not 2~ years later). According to MacRumors there is an update due soon and another(?) in a few months when keplar/ivy bridge are out.

The rest of the line is typically on a yearly refresh or follow Intel CPU releases afaik

If I were Shaddix I'd pick up the laptop they're the most popular and easiest to resell when the new hardware comes out. Just pick up a comfortable size.

Apple's options tend to be fairly limited. Where a company like Dell tend to update the actual model annually, and allow for additional customization in smaller increments, Apple tends to only actually revise the model maybe every 9-12 months, sometimes longer for products they don't give a shit about, like the Mac Pro or Mini.

While annoying, it does make things relatively simple for prospective buyers. It also probably contributes to their resale value, since a couple year old machine may still pretty much look like the current one, and may only be one revision behind.

The next revision of Intel chips/chipset, Ivy Bridge, is due out in May-ish (last I saw), so I'd assume that quite a lot of revised laptops will be hitting the market then. I would not be at all surprised to see Apple bring out revised Macbook Pros around that time.

Well I won't be able to sell it so there'ss no need to worry about resale value. The Mac Pro didn't really look that great on the site even though that's what I initially was thinking of doing. I haven't dealt with any macintosh since back when they were making those blue G3s.

I guess I will just wait until May then... I need the certs so I can act as a depot for apple products since my work is switching from blackberry to iphone. Which is weird because they're also switching from M$ Office to Google.

I dropped my HTC Evo(didnt crack) and now I get a notification "Blank SD Card":: SD card blank or unsupported filesystem. Tried formatting it through the phone and I took it out and reinserted it. Any help?

So Ipad3 pmuch garunteed to be announced/launched/whatever this week, rumors of multiple size models and possibly mini-versions ala-kindle and what have you.

I'll probably get the best wifi one available, since I'll find a way to tether to it anyway if need be, but I'm not sure what size to get if they do in fact offer 3 size models like the current gen offers. I've never had a tablet before, and don't really know how much space I need. My iPhone4 is 32gb and I use 22-23gb of it, but this is skewed cause I have two movies on it and several hundred lossless music files right now.

Any of you have tablets? What would you recommend size-wise? I'll be using it almost exclusively for school and work, textbooks notebooks etc, as well as typical non-productive and non-work-related activity while at work, for the most part anyway. I will do some work on it, but not much. It's mainly for school.

If they keep the current model, the options are 16/32/64gb. 64 is way too much, but I don't know if I'll ever even need 32 considering I only just now am breaking 20gb on my phone with ridiculous lossless on it.

The Asus transformer was open box, but Ive had it for a few weeks. It was taking long or sometimes not charging. Last time I tried to charge it it just wouldnt take, I ordered a new cable, if that doesnt work...

I have a random question. I have duo screen monitors now for the intent of gaming super wide screen. Now My question is.. How do I get to play games in duo screen mode or did i make an error in my purchases?

That's usually done with an odd number of screens... unless you mean strategy games or something similar.

It would be in the options/resolution menu of any game that supports dual monitor, however few games do (mostly strategy games I think, EVE also 'supports' dual). You would need a third monitor to play any other type of game over multi-monitors, they will put the crosshair or whatever in between the 2 screens where the bezel is and it'll look horrid/be unplayable

Well, mostly any game in general. I guess i'm still a noob at this and heard you could Duo screen Skyrim. I don't know if that is really true, but besides that. What can I do with my two screens now that I have them?

You game on one monitor and open all apps/web browser/etc in the other. This is what everyone does and is the main reason to go dual monitor. You can stretch a game across multiple screens, just remember that the middle is where the bezels are with 2 monitors and it would look retarded, thats why most people that do this run at least 3 screens.

Random Question:

I was watching Netflix on my Xbox, Then it booted me from XBL, Which instantly turned off my console. Now, I can't log on to XBL. I can connect to the internet, but apparently its afraid of XBL. I've done every basic trouble-shoot i can think of. Restarted modem/router, Turned off Xbox for 5 minutes or so, Removed my Network connection and registered it again.

Roomates Xbox won't connect either. If he was home, he'd probably know what to do. Me, I'm an internet idiot, Anything basic that i should be checking for in this situation, or is it likely timeWarner being retarded per usual?
