don't know menu meters, but i'd guess that rainmeter can do what you're looking for. you can build "widgets" for your desktop with it that can pretty much measure everything, including in- and outgoing network traffic. see here: http://rainmeter.net/cms/Measures-NetInOutTotal_beta

Haven't tried either of these but this is what I came up with:
    - http://www.softperfect.com/products/networx/

Is there an addon for firefox or Chrome that blocks those stupid bars at that every website seems to put at the bottom and the top of their pages? They usually are an oversized nav bar at the top, and some sort of useless toolbar at the bottom.

    Thanks.

Is there some drivers for a SSD? (Buying my first one)

A lot of people says something like 'My SSD was slow so I installed the Drivers and all is fine"

I'm suspecting that i'm ok bt all i see on the intel website is Firmware update

(Of course my MOBO Bios is up to date and same for the SATA drivers

Aside from firmware and all the "normal" things like trim, write caching, disable defrag and other settings there are no specific drivers you should have to install.

Just picked myself up a new laptop and I've been trying to get FFXI to work on it. I can get Windower and such to run, and FFXI in non-Windower settings, but when I try Windower it'll go as if it's about to load, then the screen will close out and it'll bring my back to the "Play Game" page. Wtf?

Anyone familiar with or can recommend a network-based messenger? Hoping for something simple for computers within the network to be able to message back and forth

I have Launcher, Launcher_GUI, POLboot.exe and POL.exe all set to Run As Admin in the checkbox just to be safe, and UAC is set all the way to the bottom.

Hm, I've heard mixed things about disabling superfetch for a SSD + HDD system. Some say to disable it completely and not benefit from Superfetch even on the HDD, and some say to leave it enabled and that Win 7 will automatically know not to use it on the SSD, and therefore will only use Superfetch with the HDD, leaving the SSD alone.

Anyone know which option is best, for a system with an SSD primary drive for the OS, and a secondary HDD?

I really have a lot of problems understanding Device vs Users CAL for Windows 2008

WE have a new server (ESXI 5.0) and inside will have 6 VM of Windows 2008 R2

The Liscence we got from Dell was 5CAL. But this server will be connected to a Terminal Server (with a licence) and people will connect to this server only RDP wise.

So should i Install Client or Device or doesn't mather? (also can have about 15-20 RDP connection at the same time per server)

Figured out my issue with Windower and it works fine, however I now am in need of a new controller that works with Windows 7 64x since EMS Dualshooter doesn't have drivers that supports 64x. Anyone have a USB controller recommendation for me?

    Excel 2007 question--

Is there an option somewhere for Excel to keep your selected row/cell/whatever highlighted when you alt-tab to something else? What I do on a daily basis is have a row highlighted and alt-tab to my store's inventory software to enter info. Right now any selections get "unselected" visually when you're not actually in the Excel program. Any way to change it besides just coloring each line, etc?
