I find Summoning Pits Strike to be super easy solo. I can kill the Boss faster solo than I can with 2 other people.

The Grimoire cards offer backstory and earning certain ones do provide bonuses to glimmer and resource collection. What you say is true, if you kill 2500 mobs in a zone you usually get extra resources.
