My older bro has been playing this. I watched him for a bit. I gathered Borderlands with an Post apocalyptic FPS lens-filter. Which I specified is not entirely a bad thing if they do it right. It looks fun enough though I didn't get to see a lot of it, just some minor combat gameplay and a ride on the Halo Ghost-bike.

After playing it pretty much all weekend I would say it's closer to phantasy star online rather than borderlands, the RPG elements anyway.

I am not much of a FPS fan, but the rpg elements where enough to really draw me in, its pretty well done. I will def play at launch.

Destiny seems like its going to out-mass effect the mass effect games. That's the first thing I thought of when I zoned into the Tower. Reminds me so much of the Citadel in ME1. Not to mention exploring Old Russia. Bioware is going to have to up its game for Mass Effect 4 or its going to get overshadowed by Destiny.

I don't know why people are saying its like Borderlands; I guess they haven't actually played it? Its basically Mass Effect with much better Halo controls.

I've never played Halo for longer than 2 minutes. I do get the Mass Effect feeling but I guess the whole Borderlands remark is from people who see the loot drops and RPG elements and go 'Ah! Shooter+Loot+RPG = Borderlands'

There are plenty of other things that someone could draw the conclusion Borderlands other than this but yeah.

How can something be a system seller if it's on PS3/XBox360/XBone/PS4? Like.. I guess if someone doesn't have a new gen and are looking to break in you can go with the Xbone or PS4..

I meant a system-seller for next gen systems. I forgot it was even coming out on last gen...I wouldn't even consider buying it for those lol.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the older versions outsell the newer consoles. Almost all of the killer apps so far are still across both gens

Yeah people still buy tons of shit for old gens, but overall if this game remains as good as it is in Alpha and continues to grow it'll sell well for all consoles.
