Important to note that the loot and drops aren't randomized in a Borderlands/Diablo way. Everything is much more rigid, which is why I like to compare it to PSO. That and the Tower and the way the NPCs are laid out reminds me of a PSO hub.

oh yeah, I'm not actually trying to call it a clone, just pointing out it isn't hard to generalize and make comparisons to things
Totally. I've seen the game get compared to so many others, its pretty cool. Its also the first huge AAA title in a while that I've really been excited for, but honestly that was only after playing the alpha. Too many games these days end up being a letdown but Bungie went and did a good job with this.
I loathe PVP, so I am going to need a strong story mode to make me buy the game.
Did you guys in the Alpha get to test any of the story, or was it PVP testing only?
That was about it. The exploration mode would have a bunch of missions scattered around that you could pick up and complete for a small amount of xp. These would usually be something like "Kill fallen to get their drops" or something simple like that. With the level cap only 8 though there wasn't a lot of replay value on the PvE stuff, so everybody just PvPd instead. You also started at level 4, so yeah there wasn't a lot of progression. This was a very very small taste of the game.

I already despise all that exclusive content stuff, be it console/pre-order/whatever, but that seems like the final nail in the coffin. A whole year?Exclusive content for PlayStation 4 owners includes the Exodus Blue Competitive Multiplayer Map, Dust Palace Strike, Weapons, Ships and Gear that will only be on PlayStation until at least Fall 2015.
So get it on Ps4!
Ps4 onry
Ps4 indeed
if anything that's technically good news, until now it had come across as permanent exclusive content, at least a year later is better than not at all
I was just reading an interview on eurogamer, and apparently all consoles share the same persistent world. Sooo...yeah.
I don't know if never is the right word..
Spoiler: show
It happened once and people actually enjoyed themselves. They'll never let that happen again.
By all accounts game is cross platform, quite a few articles about it if you just Google it up
I've settled on getting a ps4 over an xbone I'm just heavily undecided on if I should wait and pay more for destiny bundle or get one early and preorder for the beta.
I'm getting the Xbox one because of Halo too. But PS4 is almost certainly better.
