So for the walker public event, apparently you have to get killshot to get the ascendent material?

Nope, just random like the rest of the game. It tells you who all gets Ascendant Materials after it dies. Last night when I did it, 2 people plus myself got one. The other two were not in my fireteam.

Hey guys, I am still a nooblet in this game and just got to level 24. Following everyone's advice, i started turning in my bounties in sets of 5 at time and actually got my first exotic bounty in just 3 sets of 5. Unfortunately, I don't know if i made the right choice for which bounty to take...(after checking the wiki) I had the option of obtaining Pocket Infinity, Bad Juju or A Machine Gun whose name I have forgotten. My primary weapon is a legendary auto-rifle that I havent put any points into, but I figured I could get some shelf-life with it and opted for the Pocket Infinity(all my special weapons are level 19~rare). Was hoping you guys could tell me if I made the right choice or should you always look to upgrade Primary->Special->Heavy or is there even a need to prioritize?

Also, do weapons increase light level or only armor?

Only Armor gives light and the pocket infinity was a good choice.

also try to camp the gunsmith for 10 rare fusion rifles and keep em in the vault until you get to that trial. The destiny app helps, also he restocks with new weapons every 3hrs.

As far as I've heard, it's only a 2% chance of getting an exotic bounty whenever you turn one in -- holding onto all five does not make a difference.

I think I mentioned holding onto five completed earlier this week because of the Fate of All Fools Bounty (and then promptly forgot I needed to reply when someone asked a question -- my bad..), but the reason I mentioned holding onto five was because if FoAF was available (which it actually isn't), you'd have five chances when you turned those in.

I got my first without doing crucible. I've gotten the same 3 since then.

btw, a friend of mine would like to join for hard mode raid if we have the spot. He's one raid armor piece from 30 and has maxed ice breaker among other goodies.
