was reading about datamined stuff and one place said HM Crota's End is gonna be level 32, so I'm guessing Crota Raid gear will have more light on it? (and possibly render exotic armor obsolete which is kind of bullshit if true)
also fits with what they were saying about the 'power tail' or whatever of the Mythoclast leading into the new raid

In regards to that, exotic armor currently takes less shards to level up then other legendaries since theres only the two spots in the last tier, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the DLC unlock another tier for Exotic Armors to move them up to the same level as future raid gear.

Yeah adding an additional upgrade to existing exotics would be simple, and would work (meaning they probably won't because look how they've done so far)

Realistically if they did at something like that, it would probably be more like an item that has a chance to drop off the final boss (because everything has to be RNG) that can upgrade an equipped exotic of a single slot (so one is for head, one for chest, etc because RNG).

Sounds cool to upgrade gear and makes sense. Most of the exotic armor is not impressive at all. It leaves room for upgrades to not only light but additional abilities. There isn't much of a difference between full vex gear and any of my exotics (I have all the hunters capped).


Oh and since Aethon inside duty is going to be randomized everyone should cap the praetorian foil if you have it. Thank me later.

2/3rds of the way there, and the Ruin Wings exotic gloves for Titan are fucking sexy (more Heavy ammo drops and Heavy reload speed).

Assuming Rocket Launcher rape is still a thing in the next raid those will be awesome.
